Okay, am I ignorant? I’m generally a good tipper, usually a little above average. But tipping expectations are out of control. I can’t hardly go anywhere without seeing a tip jar for a service or job that gets a regular wage. I worked jobs in the Head Of The Party Planning Committee Christmas Shirt but in fact I love this past where you were expected to do your job well, simple as that. If you got a surprise tip here and there, it was great but never expected. Every little place has a tip expectation now and I find if I tip, I tip less. Unfortunately, I’ve got a budget I need to follow somewhat. I simply do not tip for to go service…unless they do something above and beyond…but not just for the people to just hand the bag to me. If I could tip those that cooked it and assembled it in the containers and bags I’d happily do so. But just like in this picture it’s always asking me to tip the people at the counter. And that’d be like tipping someone at a drive-thru IMO. Maybe I’m an asshole, IDK.

I wanted to order directly and pick my food so grabhub does not charge them 30%. I guess it is simper to use grabhub. I was at the Head Of The Party Planning Committee Christmas Shirt but in fact I love this waxing studio yesterday. There was a new tip percentage guide at the front desk, a note on the announcement board to “tip your waxer”, and a note on one of the individual rooms that said “cash tips are appreciated.” I’ve been going there for three years and everyone knows to tip. They discretely ask you if you want to leave a gratuity at checkout. It’s gross, almost applied somewhere advertising a solid wage – only to then dig a bit further to realize that was presuming the customers tended to half my paycheck. It’s ridiculous. Like, what’s next do you want us to start tipping the person behind the counter at the gas station for selling me a bag of chips? Enough already. Stop being GREEDY and pay your employees a god damn livable wage.
