I have to disagree with this sweeping statement. Some lack empathy,it is an environmental thing. Too much Ipad parenting, social media or socialisation. Others though, as with other generations, are kind and respectful. I have kids in my class going out of their way to help other, cry at class stories or just be decent humans. As always it isn’t everyone. Last week I was super sick, but my doctor deemed me not contagious, so I still got to go to work (lucky me). I’m a gen alpha (2010 is that gen alpha? Idek) and. Oh my god. Some classmates I’ve had have just been genuinely awful people, and I’m like ??? Who is raising you?? When I was a kid (Gen Z), my mom would often remind me to speak kindly, to be respectful, to study well, etc. etc. She never got tired of reminding me lol, probably because she knows for a fact that kids need guidance. I wish parents of Gen Alpha would also do that. A home that values discipline most likely nurtures a child to be disciplined.
