Warm not hot. Not a ton of water just a few inches. If you can handle it, trying flexing in and out and the water just makes the throbbing go away. I wish you a speedy recovery! I also had stitches after giving birth. That was harder to prepare for because I didn’t have an exact date to prepare my body for pushing a baby out. The first poop after birth is really really terrible. Some women bust stitches and need to get resewn up. I had a 7.5 cm section of my colon removed because of cancer. I had to go on a special diet for 6 weeks where I couldn’t eat more than 25 g of fiber a day, and had to take a healthy dose of stool softeners. It took me a long time to not be tense every time I went. You take stool softeners and just let your intestines contract and do all the work for you. NO PUSHING. Just let it fall out of you. And wipe back, not forward. Keep the poop out of the stitches.
