Essentially, there is a stong argument to be made that your work put on an ameliorative program, which is permissible. I see a potential “undue hardship” angle you could pursue here -the Funny the Goat Simone Biles American artistic gymnast stars shirt Additionally,I will love this employer’s poor planning/execution of the program caused you harm. But you do have to weigh the pros and cons here. A CHRA complaint would take time, potentially money… A candid conversation with your HR department or manager to say “look, the approach was all wrong here. We need to do better and avoid this in the future” may be the better way to approach this. It sounds like your work should’ve provided you all with cultural competency training before asking you all to participate in ceremony. Elders/knowledge keepers don’t ask you these things to make you feel left out or single you out. It’s bc women are powerful beings that bring life into the world. Many of us nations have matriarchal values. We are just as powerful as any ceremony or medicine when we go through our “moontime” as we are undergoing our own ceremony. Sorry if that offended you but that’s what cultural competency training would have potentially prepped you for and this could have been avoided.

Not all First Nation bands may recognize this. For instance, smudging and sweat lodges are not practiced by all Bands. Just because one nation does something on the Funny the Goat Simone Biles American artistic gymnast stars shirt Additionally,I will love this east coast does not mean it’s a general cultural practice on the west coast. I’d be upset if I were you. I would feel manipulated, shamed, singled out. I don’t know what you should do. Chances are (from experience) the facilitator’s will all stick together and downplay your concerns because they’ll be indignant about never doing anything wrong.
