Ahh, well I guess I could imagine why they’d wanna cancel because I did only book 1 day maybe that’s why… I mean it’s still money and they charged a cleaning fee… your reasoning makes more sense than anything else, honestly I wouldn’t have minded at all if that was the Funny marcus Smart Boston Stripes T-Shirt and I love this real reason lol. I doubt it’s racist because the city is very progressive and they also look Asian in their profile. Well the weekend was definitely enjoyable 🙂 hope yours was too. Thanks for your encouragement. Yeah this is 100% why they denied you. First, they are not going to be able to rent out their place for the other days of a very high value 4 day weekend if your 1 day booking blocks any of it off. Second, the fact that you are renting the place for one day on a large party weekend indicates to all hosts that you want it to throw a party, regardless of your actual intentions. Huh. Well that’s certainly interesting, though I booked a different whole studio for 1 day just fine, is that just because hosts have different standards about their stays?

And if this is the Funny marcus Smart Boston Stripes T-Shirt and I love this reason why they denied me, why did they lie to me about bad reviews instead of just saying they wanted wait to for guests who want to book for more days? Or even ask if I wanna book another day? Now they just look dishonest and kind of discriminatory… Was the original unit a studio? You likely had better luck because no one is trying to party in a studio. Lol. And yes, different hosts have different risk tolerances, standards, ways they operate, and red flags. And they didn’t lie, they said that you were a high party risk because in their eyes, you were. The whole thing about the bad reviews was probably just an excuse to get you off their back and because you can’t technically say they want to hold out for more profits from a full 4 day weekend booking on Airbnb because that could potentially be used against them. You’re reading way too much into this. You were a poor candidate for what sounds like a nice unit that would have been able to make a lot more from getting the full weekend booked. It’s unfortunate that that is the reality of using the platform. But from the perspective of the host, 2 of the most common red flags are same day bookings and 1 day bookings. The fact that you were a 1 day stay on a very lucrative weekend shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that you were denied.
