As of right now there’s multiple factors as to why I’m not ready to be a parent. Understandably there are situations people face where they have no choice but to birth and raise a kid, I’m just of the opinion mostly that unless you have no choice then it’s selfish as fuck to bring a kid into the world when you’re broke, have no stability and just want a family. No kid deserves that bad luck. I think I’d be a great dad but outside of the obvious lack of a partner, I’m just not ready and not sure when I will ever be. A real full time responsibility, you cannot just leave the kids alone, they manage to turn the most harmless thing into a death trap…for them, you have to make sure they are feed, receive education, to have a their basics needs while trying to maintain yourself alive, and with this economy it’s very hard.

I believe that the path I need to walk to fulfill the purpose of this lifetime doesn’t include raising children. For me there were several reasons. Not wanting the responsibility. Hated societal norms dictating you are not complete or purposeful without them. The realization of a grim future and not wanting to throw them into it. Bringing a child into today’s US (hell, today’s world) is kinda cruel. I have no confidence in their future being good. Babies are gross – they’re sticky, can’t clean themselves, and I rarely see one that is actually cute and doesn’t creep me out. Pregnancy also creeps me out – from the big belly to birthing, all gross to me. I regularly thank my husband for not getting me pregnant (often when we see/hear many of the things already mentioned) . ?
