In Australia (at least NSW) it is legal to be euthanised if you have a terminal illness. But you can’t agree to it in advance, and you can’t agree to it with insufficient mental state and you have to be dying with 6 to 12 months (12 for neurodegeneration). Which basically means Alzheimer’s / dementia cannot do it. You are too far gone by the time you are expected to die within the year to agree to it.
