If Sainsburys determine a large pack should cost about £4 and be 700g because data shows that’s the Donkey badass TShirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this optimum combination to drive the most sales. I’d say that bacon normally come in packs of 200-250g so about half a pound. This usually means around 6 thick-cut back bacon rashers, 8 standard or 14 streaky. Designed for those with other family members. 10 rashers for me and 4 for the dogs. I like mine a bit crispy, but they will take it as it comes( in fact just skip the cooking bit altogether). I would presume the logic is if you have 2 per day it will last you a week but let’s face it people want more than 2 and the only other way to divide is 2 lots of 7 which is stupid It’s exactly the reason you think it is – to encourage you to buy more. It doesn’t divide equally so you’re often going to need to buy another pack lest you endure an unsatisfying 2-4 rasher sandwich Bacon is actually produced and sold not by slice but by weight so it’s normal to find anywhere from 12 to 14 slices per pack for this weight category depending on the cut. Companies of course are going to advertise the bigger not smaller number on their package so consumers feel they are getting the best value for their money. Depending on the quality control you might actually find your 14 slices of bacon actually has 12, 13 or even 15 slices.
