Those small towns- won’t they die off? With the Dinosaur Amerisaurus T Rex Boy 4th Of July American flag Uncel sam hat T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this aging population / low birth rate and families moving toward urban centers, I cannot see how they will survive 37 more repliesI’m providing an update because I think it’s important to highlight all the excellent advice I received and I think honestly this should qualify for a r/bestoflegaladvice post. I had previously posted here and here regarding a ridiculous situation in which my old school had used a middle school portrait, mashed together with my current work headshot, in a derogatory way on their website and social media. Multiple commenters suggested that I engage my employer’s photography service as well as my employer’s legal department to help. They were very eager to do so. The photographers sent a DMCA complaint via social media forms and the offending posts were removed within 48 hrs! Unfortunately the school website is hosted by Cloudflare and they did not respond to the takedown request. However, my composite photo was moved off the main page and into a new section called “Diversity and Inclusion”. This is where my employer’s legal department was super helpful. They sent a communication to the school’s legal division essentially saying that what I was experiencing is targeted harrasment based on perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. Shockingly quickly we heard back with a profuse apology and promise for full investigation and possibly also disciplining the employee who was responsible for the photo, doctored file properties, website and email. On that topic, I found out that this person married into my family (who apparently thinks the reason I don’t talk to them is because they think i am Trans) so that seems like their motive.

All in all, I think this is as good of an outcome as I could have hoped for. I don’t think I will seek any damages but we’ll see. I just want to thank everyone again. I was nervous posting this because it seems so silly, but I really am grateful. As I was reading the Dinosaur Amerisaurus T Rex Boy 4th Of July American flag Uncel sam hat T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this first two posts, I became more and more sure that it was someone LAOP knew somehow. Not quite correct, but it definitely makes more sense now. Hope that person is either fired/let go or at least put on an improvement plan, because this was messed up. With all of the dishonest behavior, like the doctored file properties, website and email; it would look terrible on the company to keep them as an employee. Especially since there is a high change of their employee to be sued or even have criminal charges for what they did. Who thinks it’s ok to just post random pictures of people as examples of your organisation without some kind of permission? Why then try to hide it under some kind of socially acceptable banner?
