They made their kids clean their plate. The dad once wouldn’t let me leave the table until I ate the nasty overcooked, mushy carrots that he made. I have a core memory of being yelled at and forced to stay till i finished my plate and when it got late and i didnt i was dragged to my room

I’m 61 and I was forced. I remember sitting IN A HIGHCHAIR in a dark kitchen until I finished what was on my plate.
