Don’t remind them. Your vacation is approved. Those weekly reviews won’t happen. No need to remind. And let them fire you. I’m in Ireland, it’s a bit different here – the Cousin Eddie The Eras Tour Shirt But I will love this bank I work for won’t give personal references it’s just a generic HR letter that says you worked there from x to x etc. however it’s a question on the form that is worrisome and that is “would you hire this person again” – problem is you’ll never know any of this it’s never disclosed – the manager organisation would need to be particularly petty and nasty to sabotage your future prospects – they’ll just give a generic reference and they might not even disclose the PIP anyway. Btw I know of people who were on PIPs and survived in the organisation and stayed for years afterwards- you’ll find that companies with little to no onboarding or training are quickest to implement PIPs – it’s their insurance policy for failing to properly onboard or train staff appropriately over time and expect people to hit the ground running. But someone did mention though it’s like a pre-firing so I would look for another job. Go to the wedding enjoy Europe (which country ??) and try not to worry about this. It’s as much a reflection on them not properly onboarding and training rather than a reflection on you. Sometimes it doesn’t work out. That’s life you will move on. Speaking from experience it’s never as bad as you fear.

3 go enjoy your vacation and keep doing your best at work. When they fire you, and they will, you have a case for unemployment since it’s performance based, not cause…. If they fire you, you’ll more than likely be entitled to unemployment. Unemployment is usually only denied for certain circumstances such as abandonment/resigning, gross misconduct, or violating laws. I’d just go since you already requested off and everything. If fired then file unemployment. In the Cousin Eddie The Eras Tour Shirt But I will love this meantime, note everything you can about what’s happening. I would go on the holiday. You not going is not going to change their opinion or likely plan to fire you anyway. Put you time and energy in looking for another job and enjoying your holiday. You sound like a shitty employee that spends more time gaming your employer than working. If you’d have put as much effort into your job is figuring out how to game your company you’d not be in this position. It will happen to you no matter where you work. Enjoy living on a sidewalk
