Honestly all the Class Of 2024 Countdown In Progress School Retro T-Shirt and by the same token and building blocks were leading up to a stormtrooper riot led by Finn at the conclusion of his character journey and for some reason they didn’t go there at all. Because then the five other troops would still be wondering. They were already faltering under her command as you can see in the scene, she needed to kill them to make sure she was safe and secure. Obviously, she could’ve killed Finn and then killed them, but that’s a silly argument that can be made for every Star Wars movie. I.e., why didn’t Obi-Wan tell anyone what Dooku said about Palpatine being the Sith Lord? Why didn’t Anakin listen to Mace Windu about staying at the temple? Why didn’t Han kill Vader when his ship was spinning out of control in ANH? Why didn’t the stormtroopers stun Luke and the others instead of constantly missing their shots if the goal was to capture them to begin with? Our protagonists need plot armor to progress the plot and sometimes it’s best to not think too deeply on it We could have had an amazing trilogy of Finn slowly become stronger and more capable and finally destroying Phasma at the end of his arc. She’s such a fantastic actor and with good writing the two of them would have had incredible scenes together.

Yes, this was definitely the Class Of 2024 Countdown In Progress School Retro T-Shirt and by the same token and only time Star Wars did nothing with a cool looking villain. Lucas totally never introduced a badass only to have them tossed in a hole a few minutes later, some times even cut in half pretty bad. I mean, Boba Fett was never meant to be a significant character. Phasma was important to Finn’s character development from the very beginning. Lucas never intended for boba to be popular; he was just there as a plot device to finish Han’s subplot with Jabba. He has said they if he had known boba would have been so popular, he would have done much more with him. Lucas also ended up regretting killing off Maul; he actually serious considered making him general grievous. Its why he ultimately brought Maul back in TCW series Back in 1999 that probably sucked im sure, but today with the clone wars maul is one of the most well written, badass villains in the franchise
