This right here, 100%. When I don’t like someone randomly, they either remind me of someone from my past, or engage in activities or behaviors that consistently have been a turn off. Adjacent to this: there are people who take their immediate, instinctive impression of you when they first see you, before any words are spoken, and allow that to color their entire judgement of any interaction you have forever. Yes, besides the Chet Holmgren The Unicorn professional basketball player T-Shirt moreover I will buy this obvious answers (racism, homophobia, etc) it could be something like: you have the same name as their ex, other people gravitate towards you more than towards them, you have natural talent for a sport that they had to work hard at to do well, they think your makeup is too excessive, you have blue eyes which they’ve always wanted but you don’t like your blue eyes, you said something awkward when you first met but they perceived it as rude and have held a grudge ever since… Nothing that makes a person actually dislikable, just something for that one specific person to fixate on, usually out of jealousy. Some people are just hateful and need to search for reasons to be bitter. TLDR: it’s basically always about them.

Chet Holmgren The Unicorn professional basketball player T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

There are loads of good people out there that I will never, ever voluntarily talk to. Look at it more like a compatibility question than a question of good or bad. Agreed. There are a number of great people I know who don’t enjoy hanging out with me, and I don’t really enjoy hanging out with them, but we have the Chet Holmgren The Unicorn professional basketball player T-Shirt moreover I will buy this same goals and aims in life and try to be the same quality people. If they needed my help I would be happy to help them, and then we’d both go back to not hanging out or talking much until the next crisis. People can be incredible people who just don’t have personalities that mesh. We all like different things and are busy too. Also emotions are contagious. This is a huge part of being friends that isn’t talked about enough. Someone can be the sweetest person ever, but if they only talk about negative things, you can find yourself in a slump. I went through an abusive situation with my husbands parents and while I was trying to get better, I had a friend who constantly trauma dumped on me and only complained. She never had a nice thing to say about anything. Her day was always horrible, she had terrible luck, and she wanted me to be a therapist for her. When I’m trying to help myself and be proactive I had to objectify the two situations: worry about myself first and lose a friend, or continue trying to help her and suffer in return. I am my first priority, I can’t help anyone if I’m not doing well myself, so I had to stop being her friend. It was a difficult scenario, but she didn’t want to get better, she ignored every bit of advice I gave her; she wanted to complain and have someone to complain with. The old saying “misery loves company” is 100% true. Those types of feelings spread and it’s not healthy to only be around someone who has nothing positive to say. I truly hope she is doing well, but it was best that we weren’t friends.
