Considering how much upvotes OP is getting, there’s many that agree with him. Just they aren’t commenting cause the Awesome 30 years of NKOTB signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this commenter are all raging. Yep, that’s me essentially and preparing for worst now. Even tho the example may not be best, I agree with OP’s overall message. Had that topic myself recently saying that what’s lowkey illegal and considered scam in some areas is still not just allowed but often supported and engourages in the gaming industry, what OP is trying to say also fits in that imho. To be fair, using verbiage ‘base’ versus ‘full’ is hardly illegal anywhere. If this were about RNG lockboxes, I’d agree but complaining about word choices and the existence of post-release content as if it’s borderline criminal is absurd.

All I see is four extra characters to be added at a later date. I really don’t think that Street fighter 6 bass line is less than a full game. Everything else is basically cosmetic. Bad example to make your point. Or is your issue purely semantic, and the Awesome 30 years of NKOTB signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this use of the word “full” has you upset? Like, would “base game” make it better? Or are you saying that every game that has post launch DLC should be illegal? The comments here are weird. I thought the general consensus was that preordering games is a terrible idea (which I agree with). So then why is everyone defending preordering DLC? How is that different from preordering a game? For the record that’s my problem here. I think people give fighting games a pass if the game itself is high quality with good value/content at launch. If you like the game, then odds are you’re gonna want to buy every character, day one. If a game were to charge a ludicrous amount of money, per-character, or pull some kind of equally nasty fuckery post-launch, then that’d be a different story.
