I wonder why it’s so different for everyone. For me it was like white flash in front of my eyes, almost knock me out painful. Like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The doctors I work for will prescribe cytotec to soften the cervix, and meds like Valium or norco for anxiety and pain control. They don’t prescribe for everyone and some doctors are more willing to do so than others. Just depends on the situation. I’m sure I’m over simplifying because, as I’ve said, I’m not a doctor. But I have seen meds completely change the way a patient is able to tolerate an IUD insert and it seems like it should at least be an option on the table.
