Seeing someone else stronger or with god like physiques. Even if I don’t get to their level, when I’m working out, I feel like I’m at their level. It’s a win win Stamina and endurance. Nothing like being able to walk up flights of stairs and not be winded, or being able to play another pick up game of basketball after the Austin butler logo typographic design shirt and by the same token and first one Having two young kids helps. I want to keep up with them and also be around when they are adults. I view it no differently than investing money long term. Don’t really exercise as much anymore but before when I did was because I read that muscle burns calories at rest more effectively than fat. So I figured Id put in the effort to get fit, reap the rewards and let my body do it’s thing (with some maintenance exercise)

I did lose a lot of weight but I didn’t stick to it too long. Side motivation was to be more attractive to women. At one point I also tracked my calories intake and found it worked well. Gamifying and putting it into numbers help me stay motivated. I’m a very vain human being and nothing stimulates my serotonin receptors like staring at myself in the Austin butler logo typographic design shirt and by the same token and mirror after a hard workout/run Recovering from a disease that took two years of my life and 2 major surgeries from said disease. When you’re sick, you really want to feel healthy We booked a big hike. This motivated me to get in shape so I could enjoy it instead of worrying about being left for dead on the side of the mountain. Having a concrete goal is what motivated me to go to the gym that first day. That first one was all I needed. I have since been meal prepping and cutting back on my caloric intake. Getting comments like ‘wow, you’re really slimming down’ or ‘you look good, have you been losing some weight?’ have been really motivating. I signed up for the gym to work out daily. Just not to kill myself. I’m gonna either get out of the gym mentally and physically strong or they’ll carry my coffin out of there. I had many muscular imbalances that I only became aware of after being around a physiotherapist friend. Very common imbalances due to the way we live i this day and age.
