It’s changed a few times over the Anakin Kill’em All Shirt so you should to go to store and get this years. I personally like it better when he just invented it cause he’s smart rather than all the magical nonsense totem powers they tried to add to him later. He only really had organic web shooters relatively recently. OG spiderman was using web shooters for the longest time I remember reading it was because he didn’t think his Peter could realistically build them. He was a science nerd and an excellent seamstress. When would he have time to build shooters? Sam Raimi. And the organic webshooters were introduced in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics which debuted in 2000, so it’s likely Raimi took his inspiration from that. Yeah, the organic webs wire a little disgusting too, he’s basically spraying internally made fluids all over New York city. surely that feels weird asf too, right? I’ve had a feeding tube pulled out of my throat through my nose and I feel like literal strings/webs coming out of your actual wrists would elicit a very similar or uncomfortable feeling But if you need to build your own shooter, Spider-Man generates webs like any other spider. Get out of his ass! The whole bit with organic VS non organic Web shooters to me is a question of design. It makes the spider part of Spiderman more of an aesthetic than his actual power.
