Most women who are homemakers aren’t ‘sitting at home all day’, they’re keeping the Admit it now working at would be boring Without me Starbucks Grinch Xmas shirt and by the same token and house running and doing all the work it takes to keep your family fed, healthy, and clean. One thing people seem to miss is that some people enjoy doing that shit around the house more than working, or at least hate it less. I, for one, recognize that that shit is (on the surface) way easier than what I do for work but I still would choose to work any day of the week without question. I think the isolation my sister says she feels staying home would fuck me up, and just like her I’m an extravert. I can’t stand that shit. Basically what I’m saying is even if physically being a homemaker (without kids, with kids it’s not even debatable that it’s worse) is easier it’s almost always gonna wear uou down mentally and emotionally far more. At least to me. Yep, like I said in a comment above, running a home and children is constant work you can never clock out of. You never get a break from home, from messes, from children and screaming and shitty diapers and needs. Running a home is the most mentally exhausting thing you can do.

I don’t know what scares me the Admit it now working at would be boring Without me Starbucks Grinch Xmas shirt and by the same token and most in this comment section: the amount of men who say that they are hiding depression or silently carrying huge emotional burdens not to worry their partners, or the fact that the people revealing these things truly seem to believe that it’s something most men do. It’s not normal, and its not expected. Their are many men who bottle things up and then vent about it in these types of comment sections, but please don’t let that fool you into thinking that “that’s just how life is for men”. It’s perfectly common for men to open up emotionally to their partners, most guys do it. In return, they generally receive emotional support and love, because their partner is better capable of understanding the needs of a person who actively communicates about how they are doing. The shit tests women administer are childishly obvious. The more “tests” get put in front of us, the more insecure and controlling the woman appears.
