I don’t think it’s that common for hosts to say they wouldn’t rent to a person again. In fact it’s quite uncommon I can guarantee that when I stay at an Airbnb there is little to no chance they will tick that box, unless of course its completely by mistake but the YOSEMITE THOR Shirt Besides,I will do this OPs comment above “I’m sure one or two could have ticked that box” pretty much answers their original question. I mean it’s impossible for me to know how common or uncommon it is or if anyone put that or not but my point is I’ve never had a serious issue with Airbnb hosts such as breaking stuff, leaving doors open, stealing etc – just very minor stuff like leaving cups in the sink, another host complaining I messaged them too much because I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lights – things like that- It could also be something else on your account. Perhaps someone you registered with in the past got banned for partying or you used a device with an IP address from someone who was banned. Airbnb uses a lot of automatic algorithms to catch high risk party people and they’re not perfect. With Airbnb getting limited/banned in a lot of areas for community disruption, they’d rather play it safe and incorrectly ban a person every now and then then play it looser and get kicked out of a whole city.

YOSEMITE THOR Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

So that model is why just as a lurker, I’ve realized I never want to book with them again. It leaves a terrible taste in my mouth to possibly be accused of being a “party risk” and essentially be banned without recourse. Mind you I’ve never been labeled a party risk. I’ve barely used the YOSEMITE THOR Shirt Besides,I will do this app. But I definitely will never use it again. It doesn’t matter WHY someone gets a false label. It’s the fact that they are not told why or given any recourse or chance to address the “charges.” It’s unfair. They can run their platform how they like but people can also complain how they like. Personally I’m here to watch AirBnB burn for the damage they’ve caused. I have my popcorn ready lol I understand the sentiment, but to be clear, most major companies have similar practices in place and if you lurked there, you’d here about them. I run a small ebay business which is how I know about. eBay is fucking heavy on the ban hammer for no reason. Banks are another one. You can get falsely labeled as a high fraud risk and be banned from every major bank in the US. It fucking ruins people lives – sub to r/personalfinance and you’ll see a post a week on it (it’s also a great sub though).
