But this is why I choose not to take anything unless I seriously need it. I’ve avoided Tylenol, antacids, and any other “safe medicines” nearly completely. Maybe have taken only 2 Tylenol, a handful of antacid, and a stool softener through the whole pregnancy. I hear doctors will misinform or just not say anything at all when it comes to women and their health pretty often. Also there’s a huge lack of information on women’s health in so many departments, endometriosis being a great example. Or doctors allowing use of birth control for way longer than recommended and make women temporarily (some up to 10 years even) infertile. There’s not enough tests or studies done because women usually aren’t taken as seriously, which is bs when we are the ones who literally carry every human in existence in our wombs. You’d think they would care more.

I took it throughout bothe my pregnancies after my 2nd baby I was informed that it can make your baby have higher sucking needs. No one once mentioned that to me. I feel you As a PSA to anyone else avoid any medication at all as much as possible. Including but not limited to over the counter allergy medicine, cold medicine, caffeine. You probably can’t achieve complete perfection but less is better. Most over the counter medicines especially are easy to avoid as they don’t do much of anything beyond hiding symptoms for a few hours. Don’t beat yourself up if you do need to take medication. The world do be like that. This is more than mildly infuriating. I was put on Paxil for an anxious episode and went through withdrawal. I won’t go into the details of that because quite frankly, you don’t need that right now. But no one told me that I’d develop a dependence that quickly and it’s out right medical negligence on their part. I’m so sorry that you and your baby are going through that.
