I mean, sure, I get that, but “the This is america! shirt besides I will buy this Jewish state of Israel is supporting Nazis” is a tough pill to swallow even for Russians. Non-Jews won’t get any more engaged than they already are due to the statement, but any Jews in Russia who bought into the propaganda are now extremely confused and will most likely be going through the 5 Stages of Grief soon after they call their relatives in Israel and have a WTF conversation. Like, even for domestic consumption this only harms them. I know Jews don’t make up a large chunk of Russia, especially since the USSR put out an open call to deport us several years before it collapsed; that’s why nearly every Jew still in Russia has relatives in Israel. Regardless, they simply could have been silent when silence was best. They’ve ignored tons of criticism and calls for apologies or to stop murdering civilians or whathaveyou not only in the past 2 months, but in the years prior. Russia is perfectly capable of totally ignoring other countries in every capacity.

But no, on this statement, they had to open their mouths and double down. Where’s the This is america! shirt besides I will buy this benefit? What is even the perception of benefit here? If we’re being serious part of the Russian nationalist propaganda was that the real victims of the nazis were Russians cuz stalingrad or whatever and that the Jewsish people collaborated with the nazis to distract from this. It’s clearly wrong but in that way they label anything they see as “anti-russian” as nazi – like ukranian independence or Israel right now. They just dont care, words are meaningless to them. If you dont support Russia 100 percent then they are going to flame you. Basically a state government run by internet trolls https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jan/20/four-jailed-for-trying-to-smuggle-cocaine-through-russias-argentine-embassy What’s next? Russia is going to claim that Jews were behind the holocaust so they could eliminate business rivals enmass? But whyyyyy that’s just dumb. Like what is this guy doing is he trying to get the Israelis to deliver weapons to ukraine? I have read that Israel is getting ready to send the Iron Dome systems to Ukraine. The stated reason is that it is for the protection of Ukrainian civilians from rocket barrages, which I don’t doubt.
