Exactly. Labour laws really frown on a company that is like “I’ll hit you up next time for those extra hours you worked! No big deal right! Ya!”.

Some companies try to pull this bullshit with overtime quite frequently. Have someone work 60 hours one week and 20 hours another week, and just pay them out for 80 hours straight time.
