In an envoriment like that you can’t really organise a union as there was/is a direct threat to your life if you make too much noise. I mean their is a reason why unions have mob ties, because like Pinkerton, the Smokey And The Bandit Paint Shirt moreover I love this people who started these unions often had to literally fight, protest, riot, and do other shit to receive the ability of collective bargaining. Unions can get too big. There’s one Union for all auto workers for example. In my opinion, the clause in the Sherman Antitrust Act which exempts unions from the definition of a monopoly is a problem and should be removed. They negotiations can become tense. A friend of mine’s house was shot up by Union reps because he was management’s head negotiator. He and his facility has to hide in the bathtub. This was in New York about 20 years ago.

Smokey And The Bandit Paint Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

strikes are the Smokey And The Bandit Paint Shirt moreover I love this main weapon of unions. They have a history of being violent to both strike breakers, and management people “crossing the line” Fundamentally, unions can be good and powerful toll to help workers. But they have downsides, and can be just as bad as the companies they negotiate with. For example in tech, it’s not unheard of to hear engineers negotiating $200K to $300K salaries. The median and average for tech workers is probably closer to 60 to 80k depending on where in the country. However, under a union, you no longer can negotiate your salary. Instead, you are subjected to the pay scale determined by the union and what they negotiated on your behalf (also other union benefits can be given to some but not others based on a number of factors and contract agreements). So depending on your situation, it’s a double edged sword. It will bring up the average tech worker salary which is a net social positive, but for the individual, you potentially will make less over time and also keep in mind a union is not free and you must pay dues monthly..
