Yeah and Russian skaters will still show up under a flag and organization that is totally Not Russia with a Not Russian national anthem. I love watching skating. Your prime years typically are when you’re a teenager. So it works for them to just have a continuous pipeline of children that you push until they break, then replace with the next child.

They’re in their late teens and early twenties dealing with osteoporosis, malnutrition, and broken backs and as soon as they can’t hit those turns anymore they’re discarded. And these are those that train in ideal conditions.
