To them, its a new F word. A slur they can loudly say and it means whatever they want it to mean in that particular second. Mostly, its used in a racist, transphobic, or homophobic fashion. or when something(like a show or a joke) stop showing transphobic, racist, or homophobic stuff, they call it woke. I love my dad and he’s actually a pretty reasonable, thoughtful conservative (especially compared to a lot of the party these days) but he uses woke as an insult (not to me, but towards liberals in general) and so far any time I’ve asked him to define it and tell me why it’s bad he’s come up blank.
