It is completely fine to not have kids. I did have two boys. My brother had no children. We both have led full, enjoyable lives with sufficient income for a middle class life. I love my boys dearly, but my life would have been full without them. (We are still married). My husband and I have children. And we both agree that if we didn’t know who our children were going to be and knew nothing of them that we would not have had children. We love our kids dearly, and they are absolutely amazing, we don’t regret our children. People think me saying that means I hate my kids. Most of us have a better quality of life than anyone from any other time in history. We’re less likely to die a violent death and more and more countries are catching up on the Western world economically. Something bad has always been going on, but we’re more aware of world events. We also face a potential problem in countries that don’t have enough children, not growing up to take on jobs and contribute to the economy while we all eventually retire, (if that will even be possible).

Again, you’re entitled to your own decisions, but I wouldn’t let world events dictate your home life. That kind of decision should suit you (and a partner) personally. I’m 42 and childless but not from lack of trying. I’m soo happy I don’t have kids at this point. Not only would I worry about their global climate future but also them getting shot in school (or anywhere really) and living in such a hateful world. I’m also an auntie so it’s nice to take care of my 1 yr old nephews and at the Sewing & Quilting I’m ok shirt Apart from…,I will love this same time know that I can go home and not have to deal with them 24/7. It’s A LOT of work!! There’s also a selfish aspect. I can do and go wherever I want. I’ll not tied down nor do I have dependents to pay for. There’s a lot that goes into these decisions.
