The lack of intellectual curiosity down here in K has me gobsmacked. They’re very passive learners. They’re not passive during recess or music, PE or free choice. But we had to teach them to ask questions. Like basic questions. Also consider the age at Covid. A lot has to do with the age of the kid during lockdown. I know, it’s exhausting. I agree! They are exhausted! We are a low performing school, so the school took away more special time in the spring… it’s kinda awful. It used to be an hour a week in each special, and now it’s 30 min a day. And cut PE time in half also.

If only we had ten students like you in our classes of 28-34 people it would already make a difference. i wish there were more people like me in the least egotistical way possible. we just need more students and parents appreciating our teachers for what they do. what a lot of kids don’t realize is the reason they get treated badly by teachers is because they’re dicks to them. i have never had a problem with a teacher except for last year because she didn’t follow my 504 and she was just passive aggressive and condescending but that wasn’t just to me. apparently all the guidance counselors hate her and want her fired but that still wasn’t my fault because even when she was being rude to me, i was still nice. even the time when she said i couldn’t have been sick for 4 days. i’ll admit i was slightly passive aggressive because i said “i’ll send you a picture of my trashcan filled to the rim with tissues” but other than that, i’ve always had amazing relationships with my teachers because i ALWAYS respect and appreciate them
