Why are we rewarding stupidity? I do not believe you live “exactly 2 miles” away. This is an exaggeration. You may live 1.999 miles or 2.0001 miles but I would bet money you do not live “exactly” 2 miles away. The question here is if you SHOULD, I.e. are you expected to do so. The answer is a hard no; if I hire someone to do a job and they take longer because they fucked up, I’d be furious if I get charged extra for their mistake. There’s a highway where I dash, where there are NO turn arounds for about 20 miles if miss the last exit. Technically, there is a very small tiny space every 5 miles for highway patrol to use . You would have to be very skilled and quick to hit those tiny turnarounds in 75 mph traffic. Very dangerous and illegal to attempt to do so. I learned that lesson only once, had to drive out about 40 mins. Now I avoid even going that route if possible!

Kid who managing that night was like “nah it’s a pretty far out address” so I go with it. I end up in the next town over and can’t find the number. Then I realize that apparently the road used the same numbering scheme in both towns and I didn’t notice my gps had y town name instead of x where I was. I was convinced I’d be fired immediately lol.
