Stopped ordering from door dash after numerous times food were delivered cold/late and saw my dasher do like five other pickups and drop offs on the Peter Hammill 55th anniversary 1968 2023 signature shirt moreover I will buy this way. But the final straw was the last three orders from them a nasty car that could be seen with trash in the dashboard and borderline hoarder conditions would pull up with 4/5 people crammed in a 1996 Taurus or whatever and my food reeked of cigarettes. Happend three times in a row and I was done. Three different drivers and or cars so it wasn’t just my luck getting the same person. Each time car packed full of people chain smoking and more than likely taking turns being a dasher and saving money in gas. Plus I hate the whole pre tip before service.

Gig jobs have no interview or vetting process. The lure of easy money and a very low bar for entry pulled in a lot of people who grift for a living. And bad examples will always get more exposure than the people just being nice and doing their jobs. They don’t pay shit anymore. No one tips they’re all rude and ignorant and I mean drivers, customers, merchants and Doordash I read a lot of these stories of customer interactions and feel for y’all. But then I meet y’all in person and literally never once has someone been a polite normal person. Every DD driver in my area just rushes up to the bar and shoves their phone in my face without a word. Half the time I’m already interacting with a guest, taking an order, and a DD driver expects me to drop everything and grab their stuff. It’s infuriating. I know many of y’all are decent people, would you mind sending some to my area? I’ve only had one doordash delivery and he showed up high. I’m talking really high. Outfot was a mess too. I think it’s the employee standard that’s ruining their reputation. I stopped DD/UE because I kept getting $5 trips with no tips. I use to do $30 a trip, $50 when it was snowing bad. I use to do $300 a night. Stopped when I only made $50. The problem is Doordash is oversaturating every market and letting any Bozo sign up. Crackheads and all. There is no vetting process.
