Oh wow, I have heard of tape but never looked into it because I didn’t realize it would be that affordable. Adding this to my “to test” list, thanks! I just looked and the Paint It Black Famine shirts and I love this Elf ones may have been discontinued, but it looks like there are a bunch of other inexpensive options out there! I’m glad I bought several packages in a sale a couple years ago. Instead of using a liquid liner, I use eyeshadow and a brush, but I wet the eyeshadow first. It gives a stronger color, but still doesn’t seem to settle as wrinkly as a true liquid liner. It’s a nice middle ground between crisp and smudgey. I managed to teach my mother how to do it as well, so I feel confident about the technique even on much older eyes. I wouldn’t recommend black with this technique, but since you would be using eyeshadow, there’s a nice range of colors to choose from. That’s a unique technique, and i wonder if there are other mediums you can mix the shadow with. I have this stiff foam pen thing that would be perfect for the application you’re describing

Ha, I have the Paint It Black Famine shirts and I love this same issue. My eyeliner doesn’t look perfect if you look close but it looks good enough. It takes me a long time to do though lol. The worst is when I get it looking good and add one extra bit and fuck it up because of the wrinkles ( having very liquidy eyeliner helps. Yeah, I think I need a way runnier one and may some sort of primer that will help pull the ink out of the brush pen. I’m just here to applaud the description in the title.
