For brands, I would recommend starting with affordable drug store brands until you have an idea what investment brands you might want to try. ELF, NYX, Burt’s bees, Maybelline, are some I use. I don’t use foundation / concealer / bronzer much. but I do use eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara like religion. not bc my skin is perfect, but bc I like looking mostly natural. it’s not for everyone. if you just like eyeliner, don’t feel pressured to do more. if you want to do more, add eyeshadow and mascara. if you want to do more past that, start with foundation. then so on so forth girl to girl, please don’t cake your face esp if u have sensitive skin! start with tinted moisturizer IF u want a base and 1 thin layer does the job (fenty has a nice one)! but if u want to start simple, some concealer here and there works great (tower28 has a good one is made specifically for sensitive skin). best tip is start minimal~ “no makeup makeup”. my routine usually only consists of a little bit of benefit brow pencil (on the tails), tower28 concealer, makeup by mario skin enhancer as bronzer and eyeshadow, peripera powder blush (korean makeup is cheap on yesstyle), and rare beauty mascara (or drug store). i wear eyeliner only if i’m feeling brave enough lol. plz don’t feel like u need to put makeup on because of a s/o, it takes the fun away from makeup!! also because u said u have sensitive skin, get yourself an oil cleanser to wash your makeup off instead of using wipes (which makes my sensitive super raw and inflamed). oil cleanser then water based cleanser. i’m using anua’s oil cleanser then cerave’s foaming face wash.
