Yeah this is a matter of personal preference and she had to find something to make OP’s personal preference his fault. Not healthy at all and it doesn’t even make sense. I prefer the Let’s Go Ghouls Shirt in contrast I will get this fan on , my husband doesn’t and we’re both overweight lol. I cant speak for OPs girlfriend specifically, but it is a high stress trigger for me myself if I cant sleep comfortably. Thats not to say what she did isnt rude- just that some people, especially those of us who grew up with parents completely disrespecting our sleep, are reasonably more irritable during that time. Now the girlfriend comes into the space complaining about the fan that was already there and insulting OP instead of just asking to move the fan to one side of the room or something, disrupting both OP’s sleep AND their room. It’s really the GF who is being disrespectful of OP’s sleep and then furthermore their appearance here. Either way, being tired isn’t and excuse for toxic behavior. If she was snapping at him for being insensitive or selfish or something fair that is changeable, then we could be talking because grievances with behavior that effects you as a partner are fair. But going after someone for being ‘fat,’ over a fan isn’t coming from a place of love, but resentment and control, and being tired just means they didn’t have the capacity to hide it in that moment by the undercurrent is still there.
