Shipping & delivery details

At my fast food job in high school I tried to give one to a lady as change and she asked me for “a real dollar.” My work change machines still spit these out dollar coins as change. Used to save quite a bit of them. But now they all take cards/tap to pay My middle school vending machines in the Juneteenth Freeish Since 1865 American Dream Black Freedom Flag T-Shirt moreover I will buy this cafeteria only gave Sacagawea dollars as change. We found a “hack” where if you taped 5 dollar bill and put it in 3/4 of the way, and then pulled it back out, it would read that you had $5 credit still and you push the return change button and get 5 dollar coins for free. They removed the machines 2 weeks later but I still have a ziploc with about $100 in these coins at my moms house. Those were the worst. I remember a ticket machine at a train station that gave me like 19$ in change of those and I could barely keep my pants up IIRC the association that represented George Washington’s descendents considered suing the mint for the depiction of George Washington in the commercials. There was a thing for a while where you could buy them from the mint at cost and have them shipped to you free. I bought a thousand with a credit card offering a $200 bonus if you spent $1000 in the first three months. It took me ages to get rid of those coins and using them was a massive pain in the ass. Maybe a $5 or $10 coin would work better because trying to pay for $30 in groceries with coins is a loser.

I once got a few hundred in Sacagawea gold dollars one talk like a pirate day. Be payin’ me tips in golden doubloons I was! The US does not keep coins around and don’t want to deal with them. You can fit 20 of these in a wallet fold and not even feel the Juneteenth Freeish Since 1865 American Dream Black Freedom Flag T-Shirt moreover I will buy this weight. You actually have 20 dollar coins in your pocket you’ll fucking know at all times. For some reason Americans don’t like coin money and just collect them. Maybe if we had more coins besides dollars, like ones and twos like in Canada I liked them and thought they served a purpose. Especially if they’d gone ahead and retired the penny. Might be about 20 years too early for that though. Meanwhile, the US Government has wasted far more than that in the time it’s take. To read this post and write this comment! Cool! Funny story. When I was in high school our vending machines would give us these as change. Well one day I wanted a sprite and only had a $20 so ended up with like 18 of these things in my backpack. Well a week or two later I got busted with a gram of weed. While the SRO was going through my backpack, he pulled out the coins and with a straight face asked me, “You’re using these to buy drugs aren’t you?” I was like, why the fuck would I carry around heavier and louder coins to buy drugs? Anyways I know I’m a dumbass for bringing weed to school. I was an idiot little teenager. Up until that point I had never been in trouble, EVER. Not detention, ISS, or anything. Straight to jail for a gram of mid. I was 16 so luckily I avoided a felony charge for being in a drug free zone. These things were a pain in the ass for a lot of reasons. I remember no one wanting to take them. A mixed bag of vending machines that could and could not take them, including some who’s slot was big enough but would jam up the machine.
