Umm mistakes and white lies are different from crimes against another person?? But even so, I guess everyone should do what (you think) you would do? I mean, there are levels to which you can disagree with someone, and the severity of the action warrants a different response… for example, I may find the way my friend spoke to their partner problematic while still remaining their friend. But if I learned my friend was defrauding elderly people, I’d certainly “cancel” them. Sexual assault falls into the latter category (this isn’t a comment on Willam or Shangela). That is fair if that is how you operate. I kind of understand why you would feel that way… but I think it’s upsetting that we think like this nowadays. I believe people who commit horrible acts such as rape deserve a punishment (of course), but I also believe rehabilitation is just as (if not more) important. They are a person before they are a criminal. Also, rehabilitation is more effective in preventing re-offenders than punishment alone .
