Sadly my dumb ass stayed around for another three years but I was glad I got front row seats to the I graduated now I’m like smart and stuff T-Shirt Besides,I will do this find out part of the show. Please tell me more. I love stories how greedy and out-of-touch companies spiral into disaster due to their stupidity. It’s cathartic to me. Same here we have townhall meetings where they keep increasing the revenue goal of the company every year. We get no bonuses ever, so if we work extra hard and hit or exceed that goal the workers won’t see an extra dime all the profits go to management. They get a big bonus so we have no incentive to hit those goals. But they just don’t understand that last 2 years we did hit the goals and when it came to raise time we got less than the minimum as they said a bigger raise is not in their budget. Such loads of BS!! A company i worked for had a great bonus plan that really rewarded performance. Had 25 to 40% growth and EVERYONE from top to bottom got paid well. Company next year changed incentive plan in half because they were pissed they had large payouts that exceeded their compensation budget. They sure didnt complain about “extra profits” over budget though. That year Company grew only 15%, and everyone got paid but less. Year 3, They then cut all but managers from bonus plans. Managers plans were cut so they could make no more than 5% bonus. Sales people got very limited bonus for exceeding targets. Everyone else cut completely. Result: 75% of sales staff left and 50% of managers were recruited from competition. Company sales tanked and profits went losses for the next 5 years. Stock dropped 65%. president got “let go”. All because they were cheap and could not handle paying people for performance. Company got what it deserved.

The problem is that the I graduated now I’m like smart and stuff T-Shirt Besides,I will do this Top Brass made Bank during those years they went ‘lean’ and could have sold at the top. After that it’s squeezing until it’s dry. If the company craters they have already made off with their golden parachutes. There is little incentive for long term It’s obvious why the top management want to know they are making even more money. Middle management still get nice bonuses with profitability. Even floor managers might still make bonuses with high profitability. They push this information so hard because the idea is that the more money the company makes the more money “trickles down” and the more you get paid. They are utterly clueless as to why employees can’t see this and know they should strive with every particle of their being to make sure the company makes the highest profit possible. They also go on a firing spree when you start asking to share in this profit structure they preach about, because you are no longer profitable.
