Munich having not much to see? Okay then If you don’t enjoy palaces, big gardens, museums and possibility to travel to alpine lakes… However why not exploring the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this Croatian islands via island hopping? Plitvice? Velebit national park? This thread is for sharing all yur new buys. Clothes, shoes, razors cologne, share it all. …Just kidding. But just like MFA, and per your suggestions, we are now going to have a weekly recent purchases thread. So gather round and brag about your purchases! Bags, clothing, shoes, jewellery, perfume, etc. If possible, please share a picture and a little review! Pictures can also be shared directly in the comments now.I made my first Quince order. I got a grey Mongolian Cashmere t-shirt/sweater, plain white cotton t-shirt, washable silk slip dress, washable stretch silk blouse, and black ponte straight leg pants. I can’t review it yet because it hasn’t come in, but I am very excited to receive these items and buy more if they work for me. I am a little anxious about sizing. I used to be a 2-4 xs to s. I had gained a bit and was more of a 4/6 so I ordered straight size S in everything but read after the fact to size up on the cashmere T. wanted every color but I thought I should wait to see the quality and fit before I order too much. I will review it when it comes in. My thrift shoe haul included Bean Boots in excellent condition! Plus these cool mules. I also got the suede slingbacks because I have a lot of theses and they go with a lot of outfits and some Reebok classics (next pic) I got these in a Facebook ad and took a chance- really hoping they work out! I need casual clothes to race around after a baby so I’m hoping I’ll be functional but cute. I knew the harness would require some creative styling and I’m feeling good about the first combination I’ve made with it! Featuring my cat, the true star of the show. I started using bio-oil like 2 months ago and my body has been very smooth. The body butter smells good but I’m not quite sure about the long term results yet. Excited to try it out I went a bit mad over the past couple of weeks (which, thankfully, I have pulled myself back from). I realised I’d gone a bit too far in the ‘classic’ direction and have put some pieces in my wardrobe that are a bit more in the spirit of dopamine dressing/colour. This & Other Stories jumper for £10. I would have preferred it to be a bit more of a baby pink but I still like the colour. A pair of bright blue Mary Jane flats from F&F – £5. I can’t find a comparable picture but I think these will work well for spring. They’re suede and very bright, which I think will look nice with jeans and a white shirt.

This cowprint bag from ASOS but the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this larger version for £5. I think this bag is SO fun and could go with a lot of different outfits. A multi-coloured scarf quite similar to this, £10. I have a red knit scarf and a green/blue knit scarf, but I wanted something I could wear with different colours – I’m happy with this one. Finally, a white shirt with a giant collar and giant puff sleeves. Could be something out of a room with a view, except with more chest showing. I LOVE it. I am now enforcing myself not to shop until Easter and take photos of my outfits everyday in a vibe similar to the 75 Hard style challenge. Hopefully this will be my last post on this thread for a while! That jumper is my fav! I have it in 3 colours and always buy it whenever I see it discounted (it’s easy to find it on ASOS fyi!). Also, I’m looking for a shirt like that on Vinted too. Mind telling me which words you looked for? I never get great results and I’ve searched in all French, Spanish and English 🙁 for the shirt – i actually got that in person. but i found a lot just by searching ‘puff sleeve white shirt’ but i think it’s one of those things you have to keep searching back for and know exactly what you want, and be prepared to wait for it unfortunately I’m obsessed with Vinted haha. Love that &Other Stories jumper! I’ve got it in grey and red. Such a staple. If you’re into cow print, there’s a super cute fluffy tote from Urban Outfitters that I got my aunt for Xmas from Vinted.
I just got the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this Roger vivier tres vivier Mary Jane’s in this baby pink/crystal color! I am absolutely obsessed with these. Cost an arm and a leg but are so worth it. The salespeople were really friendly in the nyc location as well) these are straight Barbie shoes!! I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns. The most amazing thing about the scramble for Africa was all these European guys going, “I know the 65 guys who went in there before me shit themselves to death, but I think it’ll be different for me…” They trying to strike rich or make a name for themselves. Or their siblings who likely to inherit send them away to avoid future dispute or leeching Maybe idk i dnt inherit any riches.

I think that’s an exaggeration. IMO it’d more accurate to say “Many African explorers were men from upper class families who were not in line to inherit.” “Noble” means titled – I can’t think of many famous African explorers off the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this top of my head who were legitimately the children of dukes, or earls, or even baronets. Samuel Baker’s father was a wealthy merchant, but had no title. Burton and Speke were both from the landed gentry, but not the nobility. James Augustus Grant was the son of a Scottish minister. Stanley was a bastard who grew up at least partly in an orphanage. Livingstone worked in a mill from age 10 to 26. There might be a few African explorers who were actually from noble families but I think it’d be a lot more accurate to just say “upper class” or “the aristocracy”. And “almost exclusively” is an exaggeration as well. I think a lot of continental European explorers were from noble families. The brothers Antoine and Armand-Baptisite D’Abbadie were of noble stock and so was Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza (the namesake of Brazzaville), Roberto Ivens on his mother’s side and most notably Prince Luigi Amadeo who was briefly the heir to the Spanish throne, he’s better known for climbing K2 but he also explored Uganda and Somalia.
Your father doesn’t have to be titled for you to be considered a nobleman, you just have to belong an aristocratic family which is often exceedingly large with many branches. There are also more nobles on the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this Continent, where there was a great proliferation of counts. I still wouldn’t say they made up a majority of explorers though, I’d say most were of wealthy bourgeois extraction with a few from humble backgrounds. There’s no actual evidence that it was his cause of death beyond ‘he was advised to get treatment for it months and months earlier before he went back down the nile. Yea I’m seriously doubting someone could literally bleed to death from hemorrhoids. I’ve never had them but I have had some unholy opiate turds the size of a forearm and we’re talking a few drops of blood if that. I’ve had them for a long time. Never had them bleed severely but they’ve bled. And the one time they bled the most, the pain they caused approached incapacitating. If that guy bled severely and the bleeding didn’t kill him, I’d wager it was pain.
I’ve never had hemorrhoids (to my knowledge) but I have a lot of unrelated other butt issues and holy shit the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this amount of pain that can be generated just by using the restroom is INSANE. Like, truly mindbendingly, incapacitating levels that you would not expect from such a small area. Add in diarrhea on top causing you to need to go often and it can be torture. Not to mention it very quickly fucks up your sleep. Feeling your gut gurgle and knowing the pain that is in store for you is almost traumatizing. Not saying you’re wrong, but haemorrhoids can indeed cause a lot of bleeding. And they can become infected too. I was inflicted throughout my 20s and had been known to bleed all over my bed sheets and experience some very intense pain and fever from infection.
My best friends mom nearly died from a burst hemorrhoid. Had my friend come home 10 minutes later, her mom would’ve died. The bathroom was a complete blood disaster – so totally possible to die if one big enough ruptures. I’ve always heard that he most likely died from internal bleeding from dysentery. I mean, he contracted malaria something like 27 times, he was sick with various illnesses all the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this time, it’s not like he was a healthy man that just suddenly died from hemorrhoids. It probably would have worsened the anemia caused by everything else. This is a fun article about all the diseases he probably encountered. “Although the exact cause is not known, it is possible that a combination of amoebic dysentery, bilharzia and the haemorrhoids that had afflicted him for many years ran their course.” And of course, repeated malaria infection would also contribute to anemia. He likely didn’t literally bleed to death, rather they likely became infected end he died of sepsis brought on by hemorrhoids, which frankly is worse.
I built the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this first one, it sank into the swamp. So I built another one, that one sank into the swamp. So I built the third one. It burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But this one. As someone who has had this (although not fatally) I can confirm that it surprisingly doesn’t hurt. You don’t really have nerve endings inside your bowels so it feels a bit weird, you can tell something is not quite right but certainly not painful. It is however a helluva fucking shock when you go for a casual shit and stand up to find that the toilet bowl now looks like an abattoir drain!! We all have internal an external hemorrhoids. If your internal roids swell up and bleed, you get what you described. If your external roids swell up and bleed, you may have an entirely different experience, as far as pain is concerned.
Was scary as hell though, genuinely thought I’d shat myself to death for a minute and the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this bathroom looked like a scene from Saw. You had internal hemorrhoids (above the dentate line meaning supplied by visceral neurons that are internal-body type and don’t have the classical external-body type of pain receptors in them) I’m the lucky soul who’s experienced both and the external ones fucked my world up. Months of slow, measured, walking and extreme pain. The internals just gave me some bad blood loss issues more than anything. Nothing like peering in the toilet, after, and it looking like a murder scene in the bowl. But you get some blood pumped in, steroids, and good to go after a couple days.
For those that don’t know – getting blood pumped in and steroids is not such a small thing as this strong human makes it out to be. I say this without hyperbole. Never before have I wished for death and meant it, until I got the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this external variant and stupidly waited long before getting treatment. Oh boy do I have a story about this. I have some… family history with severe hemorrhoids. I am not sure if it is in any way genetic, but I am sure it has some influence. Anyway. My body’s ability to form solid poop has always been spotty (by that I mean it is often liquidy). One weekend, it started to get really bad. Like I was shooting out splashes. THEN I started to see blood – like bright red colored blood shooting out of my exit. It did not stop for the whole weekend, but I felt fine. Almost too fine. I started to get really worried, so I started looking up stuff on the internet – I decided it was either hemorrhoids or cancer. Monday morning, I call in sick, and I started to get ready to go see a specialist (in South Korea, you can just do that), then in the corner of my eye, I see a bag of beets cheaps I was munching on all week. It turns out, beets juice turns your poop bright red for days.
I stopped buying those Costco beets cheaps anymore because I felt so stupid afterwards. Glad I don’t have cancer though. I didn’t have hemorrhoids, but I do have Crohn’s and at my very worst flare…holy god, nothing prepares you for a bowl painted red. Looks like a murder scene. 1/10 do not recommend. I’m sure it was terrible. I hope things have improved, but after a few descriptions of toilet bowl murder scenes, I will now close Reddit for this evening. I do not fault you. Experiencing it in person has a similar reaction, except it’s you, you can’t get away from yourself. Are you talking about the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this actual video of the incident, or has someone literally made a documentary about it? There was that U.S. founding father (Gouverneur Morris, I think) who died because he tried to dislodge some kind of blockage in his urethra by sticking a piece of whalebone up his peehole and he kind of made a mess of it and ended up dying from the resultant infection. It’s definitely a cautionary tale for those of us who’ve pondered wedging a piece of whalebone up our peeholes. EDIT: sorry, didn’t pick up that you were just focusing on “ass related” deaths, and not super embarrassing horrific deaths in general. Hope it’s not a problem. FYI: they use local anesthesia to numb the butthole when removing hemorrhoids. You get to feel every slice, but it’s not painful.
Yeah, when it comes to butt stuff medically I have done a lot. Dozens on colonoscopies, hemmy removals and meds that go up the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this poop shoot That’s cool and all but pooping a day after the operation is the most painful thing you’d ever feel. Especially if you’re constipated after preparing for the operation. I never want to experience that again. I’m the other end of that spectrum. I was in the later stages of loosing my colon to ulcerative colitis. Already kinda desensitized to that level of action so it wasn’t that bad. I’d say 3/10. You don’t want to know what the upper end of that scale includes. I saw the scalpel stuff but must’ve missed any hiccup story sadly. Just hearing hiccups involved though can make me guess. That sounds like torture lol
Yup. Had the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this colon removed and the opioids they gave me caused hiccups. So about 59 hours before they went away. My own colon removal surgery went poorly. They started laparoscopically but it started falling apart when being removed so they had to open me up and do a washout. Spent 3 months in the hospital recovering. During the surgery they got focused so also didn’t notice a blown IV til fairly late and I woke up with my right forearm completely bandaged and missing a lot of skin. This made me think of being stitched up after childbirth. I couldn’t feel pain as such but definitely the pulling and ‘pluck’ when a needle went in for each stitch. Words can’t describe it, it’s odd. I got a lil overlap on that. So I’m laying in recovery with an incision from just above my manhood, to about 2inches above my navel. So they put you on drugs right? I just so happen to have a sever side affect for the next 50ish hours where I have uncontrollable hiccups. Every 5 seconds I new dread manifested itself until a spasm tried to rip me back in half.
Into Africa by Martin Dugard is an incredible book covering Livingstone’s expedition and Stanley’s subsequent search for him. I was a fan of Livingstone’s expeditions as a child and was pleasantly surprised to learn as an adult that he was one of the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this least shit of the various European explorers of Africa. For anyone interested in an absolutely phenomenal work of literary historic fiction I cannot say enough good things about Out of Darkness, Shining Light by Petina Gappah which is an incredibly well-researched work of fiction that imagines the dangerous journey taken by the African men & women hired by Livingston as they carried his body and his research to the coast. The two main characters are very well developed and highly entertaining, too! The audiobook is fantastic. I’m generally a fan of old fashioned reading but this is one of my favorite books so I’ve listened to it, too. The two narrators on the audiobook version are great. The two main characters are both “self-awarewolves” in different ways and the delivery by their respective voice actors really brings the characters to life.
Sadly, my ADHD brain just cannot do audiobooks whatsoever. They are in that awkward range where they don’t provide enough stimulation to make them my sole activity, but they take too much focus from me to listen while doing anything else really. Same with podcasts It’s a massive pain. I agree it would be perfect for my situation otherwise. I’m going to piggyback your recommendation and say Water Music, by T C Boyle. Also a work of historical fiction, it documents the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this Scottish explorer Mungo Park’s African expeditions into Africa to discover the source of the Niger river. Possibly the best book I’ve ever read. I really like Alan Moorehead’s books on the exploration of central Africa. Perhaps a bit dated, but they’re beautifully written. Jesus Christ. I had one single non bleeding hemorrhoid recently and it was a bastard just getting up and moving around. I can’t imagine this.
It truly changes the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this game. You’re no longer scraping that thing raw with paper. Mostly just patting yourself dry and the water is soothing if your hemmorid is going strong Not really. He most likely died of malaria and internal bleeding due to dysentery. I’ve read every word of his lengthy journals. No joke, my dad just had a medical scare and thought he was dying. Blood every where in the bathroom, towels covered. Just hemorrhoids that he didn’t take care of and pushed him self too hard. Ok ok you’re gonna die but get this… a hundred years from now people from around the world will look upon your phone and ponder if it was explosive diarrhea that did you in…cool? My aunt and uncle once knew a guy who got some kind of a rooftop ventilation pipe wedged up his behind. IIRC the paramedics had to come and ever so gently lift him up off it. Apparently the guy liked to lie out on his roof at night in the moonlight in the nude (he couldn’t be seen by the neighbors) and at some point he’d slipped on the roof and managed to perfectly fall anus onto pipe. Which all sounds preposterous but I believe other people were aware of his habit of nude “moonbathing” before this particular incident occurred. I believe alcohol was involved, too.
It’s a KD fact around here. I love when this comes up so I can tell the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this world to keep the damn milk out of their KD! I never use milk (lactose intolerant, I lack toes) but I have NEVER tried doubling the butter… this might have just changed my life Sometimes, I fry up a few pieces of bacon and then cut the pieces up and add it over the Mac & Cheese. Yummy. 🙂 I do the deluxe. I add sausage and boil the noodles and meat in chicken stock (just enough to cover). I always add extra cheese in addition to the liquid cheese pack. Stuffed grape leaves. They’re stuffed with rice and spices and then drizzled in lemon juice and served with Greek yogurt. You can buy them in a can from Dollarama, but since that’s the only kind I have tried, I wouldn’t consider it comforting in any way! Polish chocolates and Gin and tonics. I wonder if pairing gin with sweets seems disgusting to other people. I love it They’re fine. Wedel is my favorite brand. I love their tiramisu flavored chocolate bar. Torcik Weldolski is great. They seem to love chocolate waffers. The Panda chocolate pralines with vodka are pretty nice. I get them at Carrefour
A good bar burger. Nothing more I love when I need to chill out and relax then to go to my local dive bar and grab a burger and a couple modelos (or captain and coke) Really depends on the Horse I suffer from that disorder where I speak Shirt in contrast I will get this mood. Sweet or savoury. Sweet it’s Cadbury Dairy Milk. Savoury it’s mega carbs like Mac and cheese or pizza. All the things a lactose intolerant person like myself shouldn’t eat. I always question if it’s worth the all night long stomach cramps and intestinal pain, then the ass like the back end of the Batmobile the following morning but I keep doing the same thing over and over. So I’d say yes, it is. It’s the simple things in life. A thoroughly beaten egg, scrambled, on a soft 100% whole-wheat slice of bread with a little mayonnaise on it. Fold in half like a taco. Enjoy! Damn there’s so many I’ll go with my favourite food pizza fat ass pizza takeout in bed with a comfort show like South Park is bliss
