You would expect it to happen sooner and give a real name, considering the Grinch I Hate People But I Love My Detroit Lions Shirt so you should to go to store and get this number of poor and black people serving. It’s called military service because members sacrifice some of their own liberty to protect the liberty of the people of the nation they serve. It’s not a training post. They do train there, but it’s an active duty, non-TRADOC specific post. You’re a silly billy that’s reaching for outrage porn. As a resident in the area, I absolutely hate the name change. I think they either should have kept it Fort Bragg, but just changed it from Braxton Bragg’s name to his cousin’s who was a Union officer and later member of Congress, or to Fort Omar Bradley, since he did command the 82nd Airborne. My preference would have been Bradley but keeping it Bragg but changing who it is named after would’ve been a real quick fix.

Edit: I’m not saying I’m against changing the Grinch I Hate People But I Love My Detroit Lions Shirt so you should to go to store and get this name or the reason for changing the name, I just think the chose the worst name possible. To the downvoters, do you actually think Fort Liberty is a good name? So you want to change it from Bragg to Bragg… that’s fucking brlliant, I can’t believe they left you out of the renaming process. I also think we should have a Fort Hitler, Fort Mussolini. Screw it! Let’s have a Fort King George! Let’s make forts after all our enemies! Just imagine the millions of tax dollars wasted on this changing everything down to the last office letterhead. When people complain about military spending and insane budgets yet applaud stuff like this. Just imagine how the Black soldiers and Black veterans who served their country on Fort Bragg felt when they found out that our country had the audacity to name an army base after a Confederate general who owned slaves in the South. People complain about military spending because they either don’t like the lack of accountability, or they don’t like how that money is being spent. It’s not just about the spending, it’s about how it gets spent. This is a good investment of resources, so people aren’t complaining. Other than you I guess. I also think you already know this, and are just being disingenuous, but that’s my opinion. Waste? I think is a great investment. 5Mil is peanuts to please millions of Americans fixing a wrong to be right. Quiet frankly I think 75% of the population wanting this is more than enough. That’s almost 250 million people. Screw the south and their greediness for owning slaves, to maintain their low labor cost industrial economy. It wasn’t about racism? What else then? The north telling the south how to live? No one need to have a say on owning a human being prisoner against their will, as property, when not only the rest of the world had moved on, but it was fucking wrong?
