A bar of laundry soap. Super cheap. I can pack fewer clothes and never pay laundry fees or spend precious vacay time in a laundromat. Every 2-3 days, I wash the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this small clothes in the sink with the laundry soap, roll up in a towel, step on to dry and let it set for a few minutes. Then remove, its not very wet at this point and usually dry by morning. Didn’t even know bars of laundry soap existed! Most my trips only last 2-4 days. Definitely something I’d consider for longer trips though. I would like to add check humidity of the place before deciding if hang drying will work. Stayed in Rabat, Morocco for a month and it sometimes took an entire week to dry some clothes, even in the Sun and breeze of 60-70 degree weather! Don’t buy souvenirs. I think this is sort of a one bag philosophy since we often don’t have room for them, but they save a ton of room.
Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
Look at accommodations as a place to sleep not a place that needs to be nice. I think a lot of people over pay getting a nice hotel, or BnB. Sure you want something clean and quiet but typically you’re over charged for 5* amenities you probably won’t even use. Bakeries, groceries, and takeout are a good place to get local food, and save money. Instead of paying a ton for a sit down breakfast just grab something from a bakery and save a ton. grocery stores can offer new experiences that you wouldn’t get at a restaurant. Depending on the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this culture sometimes takeaway offerings are way cheaper. A good example of this is Athens on souvlaki row. Most the places offer takeout at a much cheaper price than sit down service. Street food is pretty similar though I’ve found some tourist areas known for street food have become more expensive than restaurants.
Avoid using personal guides, and tour groups. Typically I don’t find them to offer much extra and they cost a lot more than doing it on your own. I will say in some areas they can be nice. I used them for Egypt and felt they were able to cut through a lot of cultural tape for me. Transportation is a good area to save some money. Paying for taxis halfway across the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this city can add up. It’s good to utilize public transportation and make sure your get accommodations that fit your activities. Typically, I’ll move my lodging based on the area of the city I want to explore. It fits well w/ one bag because it’s not hard to pack all your stuff and go to different lodging. Hotels that serve breakfast. First, i don’t like doing anything before coffee, and breakfast is my biggest meal of the day when i am not travelling. So i go hard at breakfast and then save a restaurant meal for something i really want to go to or eat or experience. In many northern European countries, tap water is drinkable, for example in Germany. Tap water is the most rigorously monitored food item in Germany

About this Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt
Have an open mind and open schedule. I have a very flexible schedule and am willing to travel in off-season or just going to a random country based on a cheap flight. Find where the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this locals picnic. In a lot of big cities or beach towns there is usually a viewpoint where you find the locals at sunset. Even when solo I will grab some wine and put some food together to have myself a picnic and do some people watching. I always assumed that the points and miles thing was pretty much exclusive to the US, but looks like you can still save some pretty good money through supermarket points in the UK to spend on hotels, definitely something I’ll look into more! Love a bottle of wine with a picnic! Aw yeah, the US is one of the few countries where points and miles are extremely easy to acquire. The UK still has options though, you just don’t get the huge intro bonuses or top end benefits. I’m sure there are some good UK finance blogs that have crunched the numbers on the best travel reward programs.
I always eat breakfast in-house from a grocery or bakery. I also take a picnic lunch and only eat one meal out per day. For flights/ train rides that cross country borders: check the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this price on different sites. For example: if you travel from Berlin to Prague by train, the train ride might cost you like 100€ if you book via Deutsche Bahn, but like 30€ when you book the same ticket at the local Czech train-carrier. Same for flights. Chances are high you are paying more when booking you flight via some US-site than booking directly on a Spanish site. (If you travel to Switzerland / Luxembourg, might be the other way round) This isn’t exactly a tip, but one way I save money while traveling is by flying for free. Years ago I decided to switch careers and became a flight attendant. I didn’t do it for the flight benefits, but it was certainly one factor. Since my boyfriend and I don’t need to pay for flights when we travel, we don’t really spare any expense at our destination. We dine out constantly, shop, pay for attractions, always stay in hotels, and we choose Uber if public transportation is too cumbersome. Most of our travels are about a week, and we have yet to spend more than $2k total for the whole trip. When I travel alone I’m a bit more budget conscious and can always keep a week long trip below $1k easily.
I got a collapsible travel kettle last year that has earned its space in my bag. I pack that plus a silicone collapsible cup (cheap one from Walmart camping section), and a set of UCO plastic cutlery. I have food allergies so always pack a few instant meals for emergencies. I also pack tea and instant oatmeal so I don’t have to deal with people until I’m fully caffeinated and have at least a starter breakfast. Electric. It’s dual voltage as well. Search “silicone travel kettle” on Amazon. I’m a tea drinker and at least in the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this US most vacation rentals don’t have electric kettles, which boil water so much faster than stovetop and have enough capacity for two mugs of tea. Understand exchange rates and the banking system where you are traveling to (if international) some types of banks/atm networks have higher fees. Also when using a credit card (never use debit beyond getting cash) understand your card’s fees and exchange rate. From my experience it is better to have the charge go through as the local currency and let your bank handle the exchange rate. I travel with family and my kids can be picky eaters at the most inconvenient times…So IF we have a car (rental or roadtrip from home), we have a cooler (or insulated bag if flying) and some picnic materials–paper plates, plastic flatware.
Mostly it’s for saving sanity, but carrying a few staples around can save money as well. I don’t mind eating at local restaurants but pulling out an apple when I’m hungry doesn’t suck. we enjoy staying in air b n bs just slightly off the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this tourist hot spot and we’re fine taking a bus if we need to though we prefer a bit closer than that we enjoy our coffees out throughout the day — pastries and cappuccinos for us and cappuccinos or hot chocolate for our boys in Italy, London, Paris, and outlying regions are among my favorite memories and in Italy it was extremely affordable we like to grab things from the local farmer’s market and grocery store — our Airbnb in Rome was rt by a great farmer’s market and both our boys are recently of age. They chose our wine and salami along with a few other things and we enjoyed that on multiple rooftops and balconies
we aren’t usually super fancy in our restaurant taste. In Paris (and other parts of France) when the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this boys were young, we got most of our meals from boulangeries and enjoyed them on benches. We also grabbed fruit and other basics from shops to have when we were in. We ate in more restaurants in Italy but they were casual restaurants so they weren’t as expensive as they could have been though it still added up. We also enjoyed grab and go food from stands where we saw locals doing the same. I bring with me a high quality silicone bag like Stasher for food. It makes having leftovers or messy snacks much easier, without the boxiness of a take out container or Tupperware. And it can tolerate high heat (microwave, oven, near boiling).
I’ve seen that a number of people use reusable silicone bags to store, cook and eat home made dehydrated meals when backpacking. Might look into getting some if I get on with the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this meals. There’s a website called freshoffthegrid that had a few meals I liked the look of but I haven’t tried making any myself yet, my biggest concern is how dehydrated meat would turn out. But seems like it would be quite fun to give it a go even if I only use it for hiking. Ironically I do the opposite of this tip. I choose hotels without breakfast packages and then just go eat at the local streeteries and have breakfast there for much cheaper. But I think it depends heavily on where you are at. Totally understand why you do. It that depends on many factors. The hotel I stay at has it included n I like that particular hotel, so I make it work for me . I have done all variations- 5 star hotels / private apartments – ( too much grocery shopping to keep up w breakfast ) Apt hotel w extra cost for breakfast- I skipped it n had yogurt & coffee in my room. Went out to eat early.
At this point – after 20 years of going to see my family in same city . I found I can eat a light breakfast & make a sandwich & fruit for later ( still taking less food from buffet than most people take to their tables at breakfast ) So that’s 2 meals handled . Plus I like espresso which costs 5 bucks – 4x a day . 20 bucks – 30 days – 600 bucks saved . That’s not going to work for everyone, if they are a tourist n out all day n night seeing sites. I go back to hotel mid day after hike/,exercise in morning to shower & have lunch & espresso then out again. Same in evening. Too good to go. I’ve bought four days worth of pastries and bread for four people for four euro. Along with store bought cheese and juice had breakfast covered. If breakfast is “included” are you paying more for the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this room than a place without breakfast and can you find breakfast for less?
Can you pay a little more for centrally located accommodation? This could save time (which is valuable) and transportation costs. I’m planning a trip now and buying rail tickets for 30€ three months out vs the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this 129€ it’d be closer to date of travel. Yes, there’s a risk of a change in plans and losing the 30€, but that’s not likely for me. If you’re staying somewhere for a few days, get a few groceries to provide at least one less expensive meal per day. I didn’t like guidebooks when I was younger, but now I find the $15-20 cost usually pays for itself in recommended ways to save money and/or time on transport and accommodation. Use what you have, rather than buying what you think you need based off this sub and influencer’s recommendation for “super lightweight merino wool durable long lasting” clothes that cost $200. I honestly struggle with this. Because many things that resort to ‘use what you have’ are often inferior. ie just use what you have (a huge roller with wheels) or…ditch it and buy a brand new 28-35 L backpack that makes you more mobile. Just use what you have (a huge white Apple brick) or pay for another charger that is lightweight, ie NB 10,000. Just use what you have (ie cotton shirts) which kinda aren’t good for many situations or pay for another shirt that handles sweat and odor better etc. Just use what you have (a metal water bottle) or buy another water bottle ie a Vapur or a Memo A6 which takes up less space and weight.
I think for sure it answers the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this OP’s question in that it saves costs. But I struggle with this and seriously violate the rule because I like things that are better and more effective even though it may cost more money. Use Taobao to buy ALL tickets for sites and events. Seriously, my wife and I always try to visit a few famous places and book some excursions almost everywhere we go. We’ve been to over a dozen different countries and always just use Taobao to get the tickets. For food I always sample the local cuisines but eating at smaller places or food trucks/carts usually saves quite a bit of money. Most countries have some app you can download that has coupons or deals or similar that saves some money when buying food or using public transportation. I’ve found a lot of these apps have great discounts either for your first 30 days using it or your first X transactions. Since you are traveling it’s a no brainer to use them.
I research when they have free entry days for museums/galleries and plan my time around those days if there is something I want to see. I download the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this local travel app and esims for local data plans Free walking tours For snacks/meal replacements I buy a large bag of mixed nuts. They are a proper energy hit and sometimes enough to keep me full throughout the day . I often have breakfast included in accomodation and I tend to splurge on dinner in a nice venue. I usually save money on breakfast by preparing simple meals at home. It is cost-effective and also saves time. Additionally, I often take advantage of free admission days at museums and galleries and plan my activities around those opportunities. When it comes to accommodation, I regularly check for discounts on Booking and Airbnb. To further reduce costs, I aim to extend my stay whenever possible, as booking an apartment for a month or longer often results in significantly lower prices. Another way I save money while traveling is by avoiding roaming charges. Instead, I always install an eSIM before my trip and purchase a data package in advance, usually from providers like Yesim or Airalo.
Charles Schwab ATM card. You don’t get dinged with foreign transaction fees, ATM fees and (provided you don’t click currency conversion) you get the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this best rates. You don’t have to stand in line like all the other people standing in line in those kiosks. – Get a feel for which countries/flights are cheaper at what timeframe. Some areas are more expensive in certain months than others. ie Southeast Asia is very expensive around December but much cheaper around September. Honolulu can be relatively inexpensive if you choose the right timeframes. Get a feel for when to fly. -Opt for Uber or Grab or equivalent rather than the local taxis. Opt for subways rather than these 2. If you ‘must’ go with a taxi always always have small change as taxis will never break down your change and you’ll be forced to give them larger money. -When buying clothes in any given country, go about a few stops away (a bit further) and you’ll often see the same clothes or toiletries for cheaper away from touristy locations.
We started driving instead of flying because of COVID. But we continue to travel via car because even when we drive 16-20 hours away, it’s a fraction of the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this cost of flights for 4 people, and then we have a car at the destination, so we don’t have to rent one. This also means we can book cheaper accommodation options since we don’t have to be within walking distance. That heavily limits the places you can go in the world though. Some places are just worth flying for. Gas costs add up quickly too. Not a very practical tip, but understanding the local language has saved me thousands over the years. Being able to book a room/activity/flight on a domestic site in places like China and Japan is generally cheaper than what’s offered in english. Plus staying away from the more accessible places to tourists, retail prices are also cheaper. I always bring a bag of oatmeal along!! Super easy meal on flights or in a pinch when all you need is hot water. Saves a lot of money not going out for breakfast too
For North Americans, play the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this credit card points game. If you do it well and only spend what you were already going to spend you can easily get enough for regular business class long haul flights.I guess I’m asking what are some specific makeup types or techniques that tend to look heavier or lighter. I went to a wedding where there was a makeup artist for the first day. She didn’t put foundation on me, just eye makeup, lipstick, and maybe bronzer. I thought it made my face look strange and also shiny in photos, although it looked fine in real life. I’ve pretty much always felt this way when getting my makeup done at events like this. The next day I did my normal make up and liked how it looked a lot better because it looked more natural to me. However, I think it would be cool to wear more makeup! What are some first steps to add to what I currently wear that wouldn’t look too made up? Eyeshadow? Eyeliner?Well one thing I would caution is that you are ultimately going to look different than your normal look no matter what makeup you add- it may be that you just like what you do now and that’s ok! But if you want to try a different look with a bit more makeup- I would suggest a brown eye pencil for eyeliner and some subtle matte eyeshadow to begin. You can find neutral eyeshadow palettes pretty much everywhere- I like mattes for a no-makeup makeup look because it’s more of a shadow than anything with sparkle- much less jarring for beginners or those who usually go with less makeup.
If you’d also be interested I think blush is a great addition to a no-makeup makeup look. Depending on your skintone and undertones you should choose a blush that looks very natural on you. A wash of color swept up from the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this cheeks tends to make a face look just a bit more lively. You mentioned how shiny your face looked in photos and not liking it so try to pay attention to the finish of the blush as well- some companies make their blushes basically a highlighter or even add unnecessary sparkle. Look for something in a more matte/natural finish. You also mentioned you wear lipstick- you may want to try matching the tones of the blush to that of the lipstick or avoid clashing with different undertones (ie. A warm colored lipstick may look a bit odd when paired with a cool toned blush)
Of course if you’re interested in adding a foundation product- a skin tint would be the Grinch dear Santa I have been very good for the last week or so Christmas shirt and I love this way to go! It’s a very light and subtle product that tints your skin. But many of these tend to veer into a healthy glow/shiny look which you may not be a fan of- so I’d suggest trying the other things first and seeking out a more natural finish of this as well. (Or possibly looking into a bb cream/cc cream or even a sheer matte cushion foundation) Have fun! Hopefully my suggestions aren’t overwhelming- basically just trying to give as much info as possible so you don’t end up with a look you don’t like. This is how ppl ride here, if you insist right of way. U would get accident often. Really hate these ppl who turn out from minor road to major road without checking and slow down. Even if they never attend riding school or pass high way code, this is just basic common sense. Some ppl are jusy empty in their head.
