The generational differences on here are hilarious. From ‘my dad used to jokingly hold a knife to my neck lol’ to ‘pranks trivialise a child’s emotional state, life should always be serious’. At the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this indie cinema near us there were curtains that covered the screen, they’d open and play the trailers, then close for a while before the feature film, then close again at the end of the film. We went with my brother when he was probably about 5 or 6 and after the curtains close after the trailers (but before the movie) we told him he’s slept through the whole film. My dad took me to a burger place to then only buy himself a burger and eat it in the car while I was sat in the back so I think your joke is fine
Feels like home Shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
My parents knew I was a gentle-natured kid who rarely complained and once, FOR MY BIRTHDAY, carved holes in a pair of wellington boots and wrapped them up as a gift, saying they were some kind of welly sandal. The joke backfired on them when I really gratefully thanked them and didn’t say a word about how disappointed I was. I think of that often and hope they realised it was a sucky thing to do to a child. Once my dad chased me all the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this way down the street with an electric fly swatter as I was bawling my eyes out and screaming. I’m sure your daughter will survive! My grandad was very particular and liked things to be done just so. My nan was always up for a laugh and often did silly things. One day she was making him pork chops and as she dished up she accidentally dropped them in the sink all into the soapy washing up water! She quickly got them back out, gave them a bit of a wipe and put them on his plate with a bit of gravy on top! Another time she put the tray with the hot out of the oven rock cakes onto the table next to a stray biro. The tray burnt the pen which folded up over the tray and melted into the cakes! Cue much scraping and hiding of the blue bits! Having said this my nan was an amazing baker and made the best pies in the world bless her and some years later grandad had a good laugh when we told him!
My old man used to pretend to break down in the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this woods and say “as long as the cars running, mad jack or the werewolves will leave us alone” mad how the car always cut out just after that.. Good times My dad told me when I was a kid that dragonfly’s sew your mouth shut so I was terrified of them until I was old enough to know better. Like, I’d straight up scream and run away My partner pretended to take her eyeball out to our 4 year old daughter. It was a Halloween chocolate eyeball in foil they looked pretty real. Our little girl cried her eyes out shouting “Put it back in! Put it back in!” so she pretended to put it back in again. We felt bad for her but it was hilarious at the same time. We obviously showed her it was just a chocolate afterwards. My dad cut a carrot into the shape of a fish, told me and my brother to watch as he put his hand in the fish tank, pulled it out and ate the carrot fish.

How I can buy this Feels like home Shirt
I don’t get the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this breaking trust comments, tbh. She got fed straight away, they didn’t carry on and on until she was in tears. She was taught that jokes are a thing – that someone might say or do something wildly out of character, that isn’t serious, so that they can share a laugh with her. I’d make sure to give her opportunities to prank you and others too, to show it’s give and take. Buy some fake puke, help her scheme, and tell mum/uncle/family friend to act like they really buy it. Childhood trauma- I was int he car with just my dad and driving down a country/dirt lane – i was 5 or 6 and he told me that something was wrong with the rear of the car (a puncture or busted rear light – basically to get me to stand behind the car). Naively i did as i was told, for him to slam the passenger door shut, put his foot down and drive off down this lane out of sight, leaving me standing in the middle of a road with no idea what to do. 5 minutes later he pulled up laughing. As a kid, I was known at Christmas gatherings for getting to the snacks first (little ramekin’s of cheesy footballs, wrigglers etc) as soon as they were put out.
One year my uncle filled the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this usual snack bowl with cat treats. Little brown biscuits shaped like fish. He was meant to stop me eating them but distracted by his new baby. I got through a decent few before I was stopped. I must have been no older than 8 and still remember how they tasted. TBF a little bit of a kick but not overly bad. Don’t remember them being that fishy. My Dad played an excellent prank on my sister when she was a Guide. She was going off to camp for a week and had left the living room an absolute state while packing for it. My parents had asked her to tidy before she went, but she didn’t. My Dad drew a to-scale diagram on squared paper of the living room, carefully mapped out all the stuff she’d left everywhere, tidied it away and then meticulously replaced it again the day she got back from camp. “We’ve been walking around this all bloody week!” She was mortified. Daughter was about 5 and she asked me, quite casually, mummy what do you love more, me or cake? I said cake. She cried. A lot.
It was meant as a joke because the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this first thing that popped into my head as soon as she said it was ‘daddy or chips’, but I didn’t think it through because there’s no way she would have got the reference. I felt so bad and it took ages to convince her I was joking and I definitely love her more. I’m not even sure why she asked because I rarely eat cake. Anyway, it’s been a long-running joke now between us and whenever we’re asked for a preference on anything it’s always cake. She’s never let me forget it. My dad once threw a horse poo at me when we were out on a family stroll through a campsite while on holiday. Don’t know why. It hit me in the eye and got a lot of laughs from him, my older brothers and some random onlookers. Mum was fuming! I cried. I was about 4. Eighties parenting for you.
My mum once pranked me by putting surprisingly convincing chocolate worms in a sandwich, to this day she says she didn’t know it was lunch inspection day, but I’m not completely convinced… 66 more repliesMy mum used to drive past a school and slow down while saying it was a children’s home and she was taking us there while we were crying, chips are fine… My dad would put the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this hot teaspoon on the back of my hand. When I asked him why, he said his dad did it to him. My cousin told me hot chocolate powder doesn’t taste of chocolate and gave me gravy browning. My mum’s cousin told her paracetamol only works if you chew them. Torturing younger family is a tradition. I’ll never understand why some parents think it’s a good idea to break their children’s trust. I was a sensitive child. I FELT things intensely. My father’s constant “pranks” hurt.
I get that I’m going to be downvoted into hell for this comment, but the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this truth still stands. You broke her trust of you as a caring, loving parent. She might forget the incident, but over time she will remember the feeling of betrayal. She would eat slightly melted Maltesers out of the boys (clean and sanitised) potty whilst he was watching and going “mmmmmmm nice poos” Joke is completely fine. However, unless you’re from Birmingham/Black Country saying ‘mommy’ instead of ‘mummy’ is definitely not ok! Did she feel heartbroken at any point? If yes, then I would probably want to spare my children that feeling. There are loads of other people who’ll do that to them. Nah, seconds after the penny dropped that she had missed the meal and we saw her furrowed brow we told her it was cool. She was still sleepy and she asked me me to carry her in and we joked about it her on the way in. Children should be raised to feel safe and supported. They should be reassured, knowing they can trust their parents. Playing tricks on your daughter for laughs is pretty discipicable. Experiences in early years shape your psychology for the rest of your life. Please be better than this for your daughter’s sake Honestly, as someone whose family did this kind of thing to them all the time growing up, I think it sucks. That said, I have autism, so when somebody tells me something, I take it at face value. Other issues with my family, in addition to this, eventually saw me move to the United States, and I pretty much cut my family off. I periodically talk to my dad to keep the peace somewhat, but that’s it. So I guess, in my view, if I had a kid, I probably wouldn’t do that kind of thing. i think pranks on children are cruel…ALWAYS…you laugh at them and make them feel foolish and that gives you pleasure? rethink your parenting and try to create a situation where you can all laugh together…not at their expense…FYI…i don’t care what anyone thinks of my opinion…keep it to yourself…thanks…
Teasing children is fine: joking and playing is part of learning. I often tell students that I have a pet tiger and working out that I’m lying is both fun and part of the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this critical thinking process. I once had a parent ask my about Mr. Tiger but that’s a different thing 🙂 Haha. My fourteen year old once convinced my ten year old that spiced onions were chutney. Ten year old is the only one who can’t handle any spice at all drank about four pints of milk in tears after. They both hide in the dark and jump out on folk who pass or make loud creepy noises – even their 1 year old sister who now won’t walk past the airing cupboard because of it. Ten year old once swapped fourteen year olds cup of diluting juice for paintwater (as in cleaned his paintbrushes in) and that started a fight.
One of them (neither will admit to it) swapped the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this key rings on the vectra keys when both me and husband had vectras and I was swearing at the car about to do a basil fawlty on it with a tree branch when the sniggers started and they took the keys with my husbands key ring on it and opened my car from the window. I know. I was torn between “I’m going to strangle you both when I get my hands on you” and “I didn’t realise either of you were this bright” lol We went to a firework show, the kids had been excited for days. Hyped up on sugar and fairground rides beforehand, Sandstorm’s playing, everyone’s pumped for the amazing fireworks. The first three or 4 go off, then there’s a pause (in which something was obviously supposed to go off, but didn’t) “alright well that’s it, let’s go home” didn’t go down well. My grandad looked after my goldfish while I went on holiday. When we came, as soon as I walked into the living room he took something orange and wriggling out the bowl and promptly swallowed. I was hysterical and it took them an hour to calm me down enough to show me Goldeen was still in her bowl and what grandad had eaten was a slither of carrot.
I don’t think it was actually in the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this water, but to my 7 year old eyes… that was a fish straight from the bowl haha Once on holiday, my dad said he’d give me $10 if I ate a handful of jalapeños when I was like 10 years old, had never eaten a chilli or anything spicy before. It was as they were preparing our main courses. I was in pain and didn’t taste a single bite of my meal (which was at a pretty nice restaurant). I still bring it up to this day and I now find it funny (definitely did not at the time) Sounds like she took it well. Be aware, next time might be the screaming tantrums, unforgiving looks, sobbing, claims of cruelty. End result, turning the car back home, minus the meal. Lesson learned. Little kids often don’t get jokes like that. My uncle hid my 3yo’s chips behind a menu, kid didn’t find it funny, he just didn’t understand where his chips had gone or why an adult would take his food away when it was returned to him. Kids also don’t have much of a sense of time and tend to take your word as gospel, as far as she was concerned when she woke up, you guys had left her alone in the car and had eaten a meal, she’s still quite young, that might have been a scary thought to her.
Lots of jokes and pranks are actually quite mean. I’ve taught my kids, that everyone has to be genuinely laughing for it to be a prank, if the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this person being pranked doesn’t find it funny it was mean. We had discussed the prank with her before the nap about us letting her sleep in the car while we ate (obviously something that we would never do). I agree you have to particularly careful with small children as they are developing personalities etc. I got a bag of coal for Christmas when I was about 7 my parents didn’t let the joke go for about 3 days, it didn’t affect me my therapist says! I think jokes and teasing is fine if the love and compliments and nice things outnumber them vastly. It didn’t for me. I was the butt of all the family jokes and got laughed at alot, without nice things to balance it out so I’m VERY sensitive about pranks, and never teased my son at all. To me that’s not love. So maybe depends on the kid?
My dad once gave me an ice cream, asked for a bite and in that one bite he ate the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this whole thing. Said thanks and walked away, I still think about it to this day and laugh. I’m sure she’ll see it as a joke eventually! When I was a kid I made a tent in the garden from a clothes horse and a blanket. I was in there happily reading my book. My dad lifted up the corner of the blanket, shoved his ass in and farted at me. 35 years later he still laughs til he cries when I remind him. Different jokes for different folks I guess? Depends how long you let it go on for (did she just look confused or was she actually upset?), as well as how she is generally. Personally, I would steer clear of that kind of prank. At the very most (if you genuinely think she won’t be upset) wake her up with “shall I go and get you your chip…? Or maybe we should go in and have lunch. Come on, wakey wakey sleepyhead, we’re at the restaurant now.” With so short a pause after the first bit that she wouldn’t have time to get upset. Under 5 is a bit young for that kind of subtlety so you could be setting yourselves up for a kid who doesn’t trust you, and who doesn’t want to have a nap when she needs one.
Just be aware that you’ll have to deal with the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this character you’re building. I get great enjoyment from watching my nephew annoy my little brother in the same ways my brother used to annoy me. Sounds fine, you seem to know your kid. When I was 14 I had the refrigerator door open and was gazing around for something to eat… my dad told me to make a choice and shut the door or he would poor the pitcher of water in my trouser pocket, I must have been a little too long because I was cleaning the floor and changing my clothes soon after. I think as long as the deception is only brief you’re good! You could also ask her how she felt about it to check that she didn’t feel too hurt and if she can trust that you wouldn’t actually leave her hanging and hungry My parents legit forgot to bring me home food more than once and now I still have dreams where they forget or exclude me
Distinctly remember being in the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this shop in a pram while my mum grabbed a few bits and pieces. Maybe 3/4 years old? I don’t know what age you stop being in a pram. I found mini pancakes in the shop for the first time and held them tightly as we did the rest of the groceries. Anyway I fell asleep and woke up on the way home realising the packet had slipped down my side and we hadn’t paid for them. Whole family did this big prank where they reported me to the police and then the door knocked and I hid in the kitchen while one of my uncles had a conversation with the “policeman” and came back and said I had to go to jail, go pack a bag and they’ll be back to collect me this evening. I cried for about 30 minutes before they told me it was a joke. Yours is tame.
My dad once asked me if I wanted some arsecream, I was only 10 or 11 and just assumed he ment ice cream. When I came down everyone was sat at the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this table with ice cream. I was then presented with a spoon and a tub of sudocream. It’s fair to say there was much crying, followed by sulking and then when offered actual ice cream I refused it. 23 years later and it’s still an easily recalled memory. Who’s laughing by the end? Just you and the wife or all of you? If daughter wasn’t laughing, she’s not ready for pranks. My kids were desperate for Nintendo switches . Got them but also brought two light switches and wrote Nintendo on them. The look of their faces as they went from looking at the switch to each other Was brilliant My dad told me they’d have to amputate my arm whilst we were waiting in the ambulance when I cut my hand open aged 11
You’ve got to bring your kids up to have a sense of humour. As long as it’s not going too far, it’s OK to play pranks. Just expect them back. My dad was making Sunday chicken dinner. He offered me what he promised was the Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this best part called the parson’s nose. Me being young and trusting believed him. Turns out it’s the chickens butt.
It’s been years, since I engaged in a new outlook on this Feels like home Shirt so you should to go to store and get this way of life.. in that I am never disappointed in any new country where I plan to reside. I never choose a new location based on “I think I will feel better here because ” I never think a new location will make me happier, feel better, fill a void, etc.. Instead, I anticipate my next destination based on a series of factual and realistic non-emotion based actualities of said destination. Such as, I will experience a new culture, different architecture, alternate food choices, a new-to-me language, etc.. And in this destination if anything occurs that makes me feel ‘good’ or ‘better’.. cool. If not, no worries. I was never expecting anything about this location to make my life better in any aspect..
