They are now in a race to push as many people to the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this bottom of society as they can and it won’t end well. Increasing wages doesn’t increase inflation. Greed is the driver of inflation. Until we as a society remove greed the cycle will continue forever. War is always preferred over revolution because it allows those with all the money to keep it. Because the dollar is being devalued as a world currency and that affects the dollar here. Seems the world didn’t so much invest in the United States, but in the democracy of the United States and because of 1/6, when MAGA almost sent 8 trillion in U.S. treasuries, held around the world, to zero. The United States is now considered to be a politically unstable nation and a high risk for investment.

Encroaching Storm Shirt: Show Your Love with Style

Inflation is an increase in the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this money supply. Only the Federal Reserve can create inflation. People will sometimes erroneously say that rising prices are inflation. This is wrong. Rising prices are not themselves inflation, they are merely a result of inflation. “Shareholder value”, executive compensation, dividends, these are driving high prices. It isn’t inflation, it’s price gouging. In canada, a few years ago we all got money to sit at home and new do nothing. Some people stayed on those covid checks for the full amount. Think about that. Money given to people so they don’t have to work. If they aren’t working then the companies they work for are not working. When tax season comes up and people claim less money because they didn’t make it, businesses claim less because they didn’t make it, means less taxes collected. Btw, the government has no money. They collect taxes and borrow from banks. The question becomes where did they get this money? They borrow more from the banks. The government needs to pay this back. How? There is your inflation Btw, did you get vaccinated? did you have to pay for it? Do you honestly think those vaccine companies did at for free?
Limited Supply v excess demand results in higher prices, which combined with corporate price gouging to generate larger profit margins exacerbates the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this inflationary impact. Increasing minimum wage doesn’t have nearly as big of an impact as people like to act like it does. It affects only a couple percentage of people. There’s a lot of people out here and a lot of money. If everyone gets a dollar, and that dollar is poofed (created from nothing), there are about 340 million dollars more, and every dollar is worth less than it used to, and each person gets only one dollar. Now instead of one dollar, imagine they all get several hundred, or even a thousand. See where this goes? Spend it fast or invest it before before grocery store shelves and consumer goods raise prices to compensate.

How I can buy this Encroaching Storm Shirt

The minimum wage needs to go up because of inflation. Workers need more of those dollars to buy the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this same amount of things because the dollars are worth less than they used to be. Raising minimum wage is not a real wage at this point. It is a return to the previous minimum wage buying power. The minimum wage has nothing to do with real wages. Few if anyone is making the minimum wage. The market will decide. Wages did go up, but the effect of inflation is not instant. You raise wages and then things inflated for indeterminate amount of time until a new equilibrium is found. what we’re experiencing right now isn’t largely inflation, it’s corporate greed. You give a corporation a “that makes sense they did that” to raise prices, and they will. One has been inflation. This is on average hallway between 2% and 3% per year. It’s a steady march. Some years we don’t have any need to adjust sell prices though if materials and labor don’t change. Ideally labor should follow inflation, minimally, but not every company treats workers pay with respect. Some years key materials are low. Some years key materials are high. But on a smoothed out average, think 3% per year as normal. Two has been tariffs. When Trump pushed through serval waves of tariffs, he put increases on stuff like raw steel (not how tariffs should be used) which made it worse, not better, to complete against foreign imports. Tariffs, for those that don’t know, are basically just sales taxes with extra steps. It’s a simple government tax, on the order of billions of dollars a year, that US consumers get to pay when they buy goods. Businesses pay for it first in the materials we buy. That gets shifted to the sell price. And then you pay it. You pay the tax. Trump pushed one of the biggest tax hikes in recent history…to a cheering public simply because they didn’t know how tariffs work. How much did this cost you? Well for us it was a 10% sell price increase or around 3x to 5x inflation in one fell swoop.
But those two pale in comparison to COVID. During COVID we turned the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this world off and back on again but did it erratically with no planning or thought. The result were massive, MASSIVE, MAAAAAASASIVE supply chain inefficiencies that have never been experienced before. Something you could buy a 1000 of and get it in a week now took 2 years to fulfill. Prices on basic raw materials like steel went up 4x. Packaging went up 3x. Shipping went up 3x. Plastics had a massive delay due to China hoarding resin. Plastics too went way up. I think the only thing that went up but back to normal pricing and availability were common fasteners. Almost everything else had massive costs and massive lead times. Years later, they still do. After several years of this, sells prices have to be up north of +100% just to break even. People talk about greed. It’s not greed. It’s survival. Sell price can be 2x what it was two years ago, and the company can still be losing money, bleeding out, not surviving. Supply chain problems due to COVID are the SINGLE BIGGEST REASON you are paying more for everything today. It’s 10x tariffs and 30x inflation. Supply chain problems are #1 on the list of reasons you’re paying more.
Want to be mad about it? Good! You should be. Back when COVID hit leaderships of most of the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this world failed you. This wasn’t just one country. It was most countries. It was incompetence of so very many leaders and governments during that time that screwed you over. Outside of a few countries that really understood and respected the dangers of vital y outbreaks, everyone else failed spectacularly. This is why competency in leadership matters. This is why holding elected officials to high standards matters. Because when you don’t, YOU pay. You pay dearly. Very little of the general public really understands this. Let me ask you, why have you heard that raising minimum wage causes inflation, but every time anyone else is making more money it’s a win?
It’s all horseshit. Raising minimum wage doesn’t inherently cause inflation any more than raising anyone else’s wages. We as poor people are being punished for our insolence. Printing money causes inflation. Using goods from other countries with different currencies can cause inflation, when the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this value of your currency goes down, you have to buy things at higher prices. Higher wages cause inflation because you are both adding more money into the market and raising the cost to produce the items. because the way minimum wage causes price increases is with the belief that labor cost increases cause price increases. prices are primarily set by what the market can bear NOT cost of production. if it was the latter profit margins with stagnate. as it stands, wage increases has been used by capitalists as an excuse to increase profits by selling to a public of whom too many believe that wage hikes lead to price hikes. And i don’t begrudge people that do, it makes logical sense but it does assume a system where the people making money are leaving money on the table and not charging as much as economically tolerable at all times. imo, increased wages are the perfect scapegoat for price gouging as a) the market will bear more as they perceive the price hike as worth it for the people working to, you know, not be in (as bad) poverty, but also b) buyers will resent the labor movement as making purchases more expensive.
Prices are going up because the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this people that sell things stand to make more money from fewer customers. and they will layoff people for the same reason. Aside from the fact that prices are going up without minimum wage going up, wages are going up and they’re currently unevenly distributed at the top and bottom ends of incomes. Because the notion of raising the minimum wage keeps us angry at each other instead of the robber barons that are squeezing us all to maintain their dragon hoard. I’d say a big problem is China making all of the worlds sh!t they kept shutting down Shanghai every time they saw someone sneeze. Then rich people trying to move to the sunburns and massively overpaying for homes to escape the cities. There will be a massive correction I already see homes around here sitting for months when last year there was a line down the block for a condemned house. But it wasn’t stimulus checks that’s 100% certain, that money was gone 2 weeks after it got issued
Because inflation is also caused by things other than minimum wage increases. Things can and do have multiple causes. The other affect of raising minimum wage drastically, like from $7.25 to $15 or even $20/hour, is that now everyone in that gap or who were making that much are now making minimum wage. If those people aren’t working minimum wage jobs then they’re going to want a raise, otherwise they’re going to just find work elsewhere that’s easier and pays the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this same. All the places that were paying minimum wage are now going to have to compensate for the increase in labor, and that’ll have to be done through increasing prices and potentially letting some folks go or cutting hours. Then there’s the labor issue with everyone else. Jobs that were paying higher than minimum wage will now have to try and retain their workers who are probably going to be very upset that they’re now making minimum wage, and everyone across the board will see their spending power decrease even more as money is flooding the system. Then you’ve got all the regular issues causing inflation, like a government printing trillions of dollars, energy wars, corporate greed, incompetent leadership, etc.
Right now, on average, 30% of American household income is spent on food. That’s the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this highest this number has been in THIRTY years. A higher min could be inflationary, or not. Inflation has a lot of factors beyond wages, let alone a small impact one like the minimum wage. Multiple reasons that causes inflation, not just one, feds printing money, Fiat money being printed regularly due to loans, increase in government budget, increase in taxes, and also increase in salaries. There was a wage increase? Minimum wage was 8? It’s as high as 17 in California ? Also middle class started making a ton of money from their middle class jobs. Also all the free money from Covid is what really did us in. Everything goes up by about 2% per year but when minimum wage goes up then there’s an additional increase ontop of the 2%. We have seen it time and again for the last 30 years it’s fact at this point. There are some outliers, if a slumlord hears that Social Security is going to raise the money by 3.5% you can bet that he will raise rents by 3.5% Right now inflation is being driven by corporate greed. How can you tell? Because corporate profits are at an all time high. Minimum wage can have an effect on the prices of things, but realistically it is such a tiny fraction of the price that unless you raise it substantially past where it would be based on a inflation corrected amount for minimum wages in the 1970s… it won’t have an effect.
So where should minimum wage be based on inflation? Somewhere between 25/hr and 35/hr. Right now nobody even comes close to that. The rich like it when pay doesn’t rise with inflation because it is effectively a pay cut and they keep more of what their workers produce. Smart people who are not rich (or who care about the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this middle class) want minimum wage pinned to the inflation rate, maybe even a bit higher, so that the pressure is on the rich instead. Personally I don’t worry about someone who was making a million dollars a year for sitting on his ass owning stocks seeing their income drop to 900k a year. I do worry about anyone trying to survive on minimum wage in today’s economy. Good answers in the post, but it’s worth mentioning that inflation isn’t like some tax applied to everything evenly.
For example, despite there being inflation for the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this past 20 years, the inflation adjusted price of flat screen TVs has gone down. Raising the minimum wage does not increase the supply of money at all. There are exactly as many dollars available. So do prices go up? Yes, but a modest increase in the minimum wage will raise most people’s income above whatever price increase occurs. Employers of middle income earners are forced to raise their wages and salaries because they are now competing with minimum wage jobs that are easier or require less education. You know who doesn’t get wealthier? Rich people. Remember, raising the minimum wage does not increase the number of dollars in the economy, so they have to come from somewhere and they come off the top. Your assumption that minimum wage causes inflation is wrong. If this was true then we would see more inflation in places like Washington and California and most of the rest of the developed world, but the most inflation has been in places like Minnesota where minimum wage is much lower, barely above federal. Supply chain disruption. The pandemic screwed everything up. These supply chains were carefully optimized over many years and it takes time for everything to be fixed. By definition, increased prices without an increase in purchasing power is not inflation. So why was all of this occurring for scores and a decade ago. Most of these responses are in relationship to the past five years or so, but inflation has been ongoing since the beginning of your birth and before
It also doesn’t HAVE to do so. Theres plenty of examples of big minimum wage increases followed by no big increase in inflation If folks are willing to accept the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this ridiculous prices they will continue to go up. “What the market will bear”. Leave that trash on the shelf. The prices will drop. Inflation requires the consumer’s cooperation. The power lies in the hands of the consumer. In my area of Texas, USA, wages have gone up. It’s definitely a part of inflation. But the minimum wage is still the same. Labor is a very small fraction of cost. (So I hear anyways) People going full retard was a major factor in inflation these last 4 years. People started buying vehicles and “property” at stupid prices. With skyrocketing property values, taxes went up and insurance went up. Now their baseline for expenses went up. Gotta hire truckers but they’re more expensive now, because their trucks went from 100k to 200k (almost literally) but they’re actually still have a stagnant wage.
Slumloards (landloards) buying up houses at stupid prices as well and then renting them out at stupid prices, hurts the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this American people, because they can’t build wealth. Then everyone and their cousin is doing it, these days. Equal parts of excess fiscal stimulus – money printing, stimulus checks, and near zero interest rates, massive government deficits, coupled with an enormous supply shock and resulting shortages from shutting down the economy. Wages then usually take longer to catch up to inflation since prices can be changed regularly while wages are usually only reset yearly or periodically. And low wage workers have less leverage to increase their wage vs high skilled or scarce labour so they tend to suffer during high inflation. Ultimately, those higher wages do feed inflation and can create the risk of a wage/price spiral – but we seem to so far have mostly avoided that.
Not saying this is the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this reason but, because of competition between employers, the minimum wage basically has gone up; it would be near impossible to find a job that actually pays $7.75 today. I would look more at times where governments ran deficits during periods of growth and what that money was spent on. Printing and borrowing money can cause inflation Much more than anything else. Zimbabwe was an extreme example. Because of corporate greed. This “inflation period” we’re currently in is artificial and completely manufactured by the large corporations. That’s why they’re all posting record profits year after year. Profits for eggs were up 110% last year. If inflation were real then the process and raw materials needed to produce the end product would have also risen and cut into the profits. That’s not the case. The only people seeing inflation are the end users. My buddy runs a restaurant in SC and was bragging about how his place had a 70% profit increase and complained that his staff wanted 5% raises. That’s a feature, not a flaw. Inflation of goods and services without commensurate wage increases is how value is extracted from workers’ output and into the pockets of shareholders and hedge funds.
My personal thought is that our current “inflation” situation is due to a large amount of “cash” and a low quantity of “stock”. The “value” of currency has dropped making the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this “value” stock more expensive. Look at collapsed currency as an example [pre-WWII German currency, Zimbabwe currency]. There are a lot of reasons for the current inflation situation. Production and stocks of supplies are still hurting from Covid supply-line issues. The amount of “extra” dollars pumped into the economy to “reduce” inflation has only fueled the fires. The economy is a complicated “mechanism”. You can find an “expert” on individual components, but very few can see/understand the big picture. People who make minimum wage spend all the money they get. If minimum wage workers all get more money, it WILL result in more money chasing goods in the market and therefore raise prices (assuming supply is not increased to match). If someone who makes 200k a year gets a raise, it might not increase the demand for anything because they will hoard or invest it in speculative markets. The truth is that inflation is good for the wealthy and big business and bad for everyone else so they do things like constrict supply of everything and do stock buybacks to raise the price of their own stock, thereby reducing supply of the stock, increasing demand and increasing the share price. The first half of your question isn’t actually true. Or at least is unproven and a very weak association at best. Raising the minimum wage doesn’t cause inflation, that’s just a claim by opponents of raising it (generally corporate interests who don’t want to pay their workers) Printing money and handing it out to people forced to leave their jobs and stay home for years caused the bulk of current inflation. Jacking minimum wages up to some ridiculous level ($50?!?) will just cause another round.
Money at its core is nothing more than a storage medium for work product, it’s not something that really has value intrinsically (at least for our fiat currency in the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this US). If you do 8 hrs of work at a certain value level and get paid 8 dollars and then the government suddenly the government says 8hrs of work is worth 50 dollars then all the days of work you’ve been able to store previously as dollars is suddenly devalued as that work product value change propagates through the rest of the economy (this takes time to equalize so people often fail to make the association). Then basically all prices end up proportionally the same but the numbers are bigger. Mainly the people who have saved money are screwed and mainly people on the lower socioeconomic side who’ve saved smaller amounts are screwed because the rich have so much they don’t care if they take a 10-20-30% hit. The people struggling to save off a little for a rainy day can’t afford to have their meger savings devalued even a few percent.
Similar mechanics operate around the Encroaching Storm Shirt so you should to go to store and get this government artificially generating dollars (money printer go burrrr) and infusing it into the economy without it being attached to work product. When stores automate away employees, costs don’t go down. When CEOs make tens to hundreds of millions a year, nobody worries about prices going up. It’s a false argument to avoid paying workers more. Because it’s not true at least not in our society. It might be true in a society that doesn’t have greedy profiteers and bandits running both the government and private businesses and corporations. In reality it’s not true for our western society. Because companies participated in price fixing during the pandemic and realized no regulatory body would stop them. So from then on they’ve been manufacturing excuses, to create all kinds of bullshit stories to keep price gauging consumers, anywhere from fake egg shortages to fake shoplifting numbers. None of it has any mechanism anyone in power is wiling to sue against them since they pay for political campaigns. If you don’t believe me just look at the record profits for multiple companies that claimed to be struggling from 2020 to now. It’s all a coordinated scam.
