Shipping & delivery details

I stayed at my previous job for a long time. I was at a big company and was able to grow and move up. Eventually got stuck, but liked the Distant Worship Death Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this people and my manager so was flexible to wait for an opportunity. Then a reorg happened. I no longer reported to my boss, had no say in where I went, and don’t think they really thought everything out just wanted to keep some folks in case. I knew package would come so waited out at that point. I mention as cautionary tale that the people can change at any time, and hard to move elsewhere if skills get stagnant. Now that I’m at another place but not a lot invested, more receptive to opportunities. Is your current job going to be around for the next 20-30 years? Can you reasonably expect routine COLA allowances? There’s nothing wrong with staying in the same exact job for your entire career, but I am concerned that it would be putting all of your eggs in one basket. If you worked for the state, I would tell you to stay there because you can probably bet on a significant amount of job security. But, in the civilian sector, I’m not sure I’d take that gamble.

Distant Worship Death Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I spent the Distant Worship Death Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this first 12 years of my career in a company that treated me very well and was at the top of my industry, but I felt the rest of my trajectory there wasn’t as exciting as how far I’d come and made the super hard decision leave. It would have been much easier to stay, I knew where I stood there, I knew I was valued. But I also knew that no matter how happy I couldn’t bank on continuing to be happy there for decades more, and I was nearing a prime part of my career; I still had lots of energy and room for growth, I felt for the first time that I had enough experience to have leverage in what I did next and wanted to use that leverage to have more impact. So I did the terrifying thing and left, as an investment in myself. Because even if I didn’t know what lay ahead I bet that I could find something that made me just as happy if not more happy.
