I agree that we shouldn’t look down upon people based on skin colour and caste. But why should you get offended if somebody thought you were a housekeeping person? Shouldn’t there be dignity of labor too? I’m asking a sincere question and I am not at all condoning discrimination based on skin colour or caste (although caste seems to be irrelevant in this instance because those strangers surely couldn’t have figured out your caste in that short encounter). Never experienced such an ordeal and unfortunately that’s the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this plight of our nation. You could have given it back, I would have for sure asked them to clean my bathroom first. You got to put people in their sane state at times just to make them realise about “behaviour”, a bit unfortunate – but most of us Indians lack that basic civic sense and our foot in mouth behaviour is the worst. My dad shared one such experience while he was working in the government. He was part of a panel examining a few cases and a person holding a high post was supposed to be present. And apparently the person hasn’t shown up for more than an hour, and he tried calling him, only to realise the person was denied entry by the attender and constable for his looks. This guy wore a very simple pant and shirt, had a long beard and uncombed hair etc.
Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
And post the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this enquiry, he had a long conversation with that officer and the person had only one thing to say – He is the man of simple needs and his work should be spoken about and not his grooming standards, such stereotyping doesn’t bother him. My dad had his opinion, when holding such a post (no matter whichever part of the country you’re serving in), you’ll have to hold the dignity of the post and not the means or simple standards. Both had their disagreements, one says being simple makes him more approachable and the other feels when in such a position you got to hold that dignity for post and come as inspirational personality. Neither were trying to impose their thoughts on one another, apparently my father wanted to hear it out from him.
I’ve tried reasoning it with my father about the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this same, will mere dressing change the perception? He asked me the same, when you approach some official who’s in such an attire, what would be your reaction? Realised it over time, it’s a matter of perception. My first instance would either be non-serious/lethargic/disinterested etc. for I’m always exposed to an atmosphere where everyone is neatly groomed, have this pseudo aura of super approachable personality etc. And for some it won’t matter, for them if that particular official is fulfilling his/her job. I think both co-exist, but judging someone on attire is the worst ordeal. Many times people misunderstood/confused with supporting staff, happened with me too, no caste and religion or colour was targeted it was plain case of confusion, two times it was dark colour person asking me same. It was confusion and I politely said i am also a customer here.

About this Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt
Happens to girls too! I was at some shoping complex getting clothes and two guys walked upto me and asked me if a tee shirt was available in one of their sizes! As a society we all are biased, one way or the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this other, and do use profiling based on ones color, way of speaking, clothes, etc. Not saying its a good thing but it happens naturally, so take it a bit easy You should have taken their room keys to make a mess out of it. They deserve this post dinner trauma and confusion.. Ok even I mistakenly did that to a guy once, it has nothing to do with the way one looks. Dark skin, fair skin, kapde matter nahi karta what does is body language. I’ll explain: I went to a cafe with my friend and there was a charging plug where only staff was allowed to plug and no customers. One guy walks in and casually plugs his phone and is about to walk away. I call him, bhaiyaa mera order nahi aya abhi. He obviously got angry and in his angry voice said, ‘main yahan kaam nahi karta’ well I obviously was embarrassed and sorry for my action but it only had to do with his body language and nothing else. A similar thing must have happened twice-thrice and everywhere I only have done shit because of their body language the way they are standing or just looking at you like the shopkeeper or the staff does. Kisi ke paas time nahi dekhne ka ki tum kaise dikhte ho and then assume kare.
Once I went to the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this neighbour shop in my home-clothes. The owner was known to me and busy so he asked me to pick out the stuff from the rack myself. One lady came near me and whispered to me ‘how much salary does he give you, do you want to work at my house? I will give you clothes, food and lodging too. .’ She thought I was the maid/helper. Haha. Bro. I think this has happened to many many people unless they look like a model and even then it’s not a guarantee. Well, I had to attend a formal event once and the airlines lost my luggage. I was overseas and a student so in the limited time and budget I had, the only clothes I could manage were a white shirt, a black skirt and a black blazer. Not my wisest decision in hindsight as 5 star hotels have similar uniforms, but in my defense, I had a bloody huge conference batch around my neck and a champagne glass and a booklet in my hands. Not 1, but 5 people asked me for drinks that day! I was presenting my work later that day and I introduced myself saying ‘I am a passionate research student with a penchant of getting confused as a server’. It became a running joke in the gathering and all those 5 came and personally apologized It also became a conversation starter for me and I networked with so many relevant people that day.
Moral of the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this story, when things like these happen, just add your bit of humour to it and get over it. No point pestering over such attention lacking idiots. They simply lack the decency to observe closely before opening their damn mouths. And most importantly, it has nothing to do with your looks. We have all been mistook for someone else at some point in time but it just goes on to show how dumb and conventional some people are. So just ignore Looking at the comments you would have realised this happened to so many people. I was once at this abika hotel in ujjain with my dad. We checked out and kept our luggage at the reception and went to restaurant (in same hotel) to have lunch. I asked the waitress to add it to my accommodation bill. We were leaving after completing lunch and near lift. a waitress came out and said madam please come back aapne pay hi nahi kiya. I said bola toh tha to add to hotel bill? She said nahi pehle aap andar aayiye. And when I went in she and another guy(im guessing manager) asked who are you, aap hotel me aaye hai? Idhar thaire hai aap? Kitne din se? Kya room number hai? Now it wasn’t just taking details to add to the bill. It was their way to question my capacity to afford to stay at that hotel. I was angry but couldn’t do anything.
Now another example, this time I screwed up. So our apartment building owner is very kanjoos and one day he sent his wife to clean the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this building cos maid wasn’t in the city. I was also looking for maid at that time and when I looked at her cleaning mopping steps I really though she was maid and asked her if she would clean my flat too once in every 3 days. I hope this made you laugh at my dumbfuckery. I once went to a wedding wearing a black suit with a red tie considering my wife’s outfit. Turns out the senior staff at the party was wearing the same. Was asked to bring lemon garlic fish to a table by a random guy ! My nana had a general store and there used to work a 13-14 yr old boy(around my age). One day me and my mother visited his house and my nana took me to his shop. I was sitting with him when a customer came and asked him “naya ladka rakha hai kya?” I recently got married and visited a jewelry shop for buying ornaments. I was mistook as a shop help and I personally took it very lightly and mentioned “chai ke saath aur kuch chahiye toh dukaan waale ko bol do”. The matter ended there.
Happened with me yesterday.I went for washing of my bike. The guy said bhai washing chalu h kya Kitna price h? Sorry but I was mistakenly ‘identified’ as hotel server .. happens man.. even though tempted to ask tip… Once i went to a general store for maggis, i saw no one inside there, but beside me there was super gorgeous lady standing and searching for something on the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this tabel gor herself, but initially i didn’t looked at her face, and asked for the product, so she dircted me to the owner. Once I went to see a doctor with my dad. I must have been around 21-22 and the person registering the names looked at both of us and asked if I was his wife (not daughter). Ek bar me mall gya tha, ek bhaiya jo fair the bht unka wo “helpful sa face” tha to me unke paas gya and asked so so kaha hai? Wo hske bolte “bhai patni ko shopping krane aya hu tbse waha choose hi kr rhi hai” me bhi hske fir chla gya. It isn’t even about color, Its about their attitude and expressions Even worse, isme iski caste kaha se aagyi? It’s not like every lower caste person has a yellow star on their clothes You think they have brain to read this? It’s simple case of misunderstanding. And op pretty much put all his insecurities in the post. I have had classmates of all caste and I honestly couldn’t tell who is from which caste just by looks lol. You could have just said you were a guest at the hotel and not part of the staff and they would have been like “Oh, my bad” and y’all go your separate ways.
Okay, so when I was in class 11 we had a shady migrant worker working at our home. He was also given accommodation in our home as well. Now this was a job that included doing some painting, plumbing and stuff and this guy was amazing at that sort of work. So one day some cops from his state comes to our home and they immediately grab me, and their grip was pretty strong as well. My uncle had to intervene to get me released from their grip and they explained the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this situation and we handed over the guy and they went their way.??(caused a shit ton of commotion in the process) I know dressing sense, the way you present yourself doesn’t equal your standing in life but these are what people perceive the most when they see you. Bhai personality pe kaam kar na apni. Kyu yahan aake rona dhona machaya hai. Naukar dikhega to naukar hi samjhenge na log. Color ya caste ka kuch lena dena nahi hai, sab confidence ka scene hai.
Once my friend and I were sitting near the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this entrance of our colony park. An old guy came out of his house from across the street and said ‘Tum dono kiske naukar ho? Itni raat ko tumhaare Malik ne tumhe baahar kaise ghoomne Diya?’ Chill bro. Our country has low respect for honest labor in general. I don’t think it’s anything to do with skin colour either. I’m fair skinned and so was my friend. They look at me and sometimes say. “Main Yaha kaam nahi karta.” I say sorry and I move on to the next guy standing. I feel like caste discrimination is a whole lot worse with the older generations and especially it’s very open in discriminating in North India, have personally experienced discrimination from north Indians outside of India and they also discriminate people who are not white paint bleach white pale.
212 more repliesHan bhai it happens. Once I was in delhi gymkhana (the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this most classist, judgemental and asshole) come there….they thing they are better than you and keep staring like stupid idiots with 0 manner even though they are filthy rich they never gained any civic sense. One time a middle aged woman called me a waiter and shouted “waiter” to call me as if I was the server…When I looked at her she was bamboozled as to why I wasn’t responding. Honestly felt like shit for a little while after that but didn’t care much… Im sorry and you got full right to feel this way. I think they were rude people and doesn’t represent much. That doesn’t explain them much but perhaps they were drunk and then people understand and see much less.
There are places where your surname, cast, whatever doesn’t matter at all. There are people, like me, who doesn’t divide people based on skin colour. Truly – i find tanned skin as nice one and I find dark eyes deep and beautiful. If your local society is backward consider going abroad. Same shit happens to me 2 month ago. I was at local shop checking back cover for my phone then a random girl came to me and asked about the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this price for specific model. I once was waiving a waiter in suit to come get my order. He was confused at why I waving at him and he sat down. Some dude in pajama, t-shirt came to take order. He looked like he hadn’t had shower in days lol. You are thinking too much. I have been on both the sides of this situation and ignore it because mistaken identities happen.
Most of the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this times, it happens because of the clothing that resembles what employees wear. I’m not sure if that was the case with you but you could have politely clarified that you don’t work there. Happens to me all the time. I am an older guy (close to 50). Once went to a Target store (USA) and a nice old lady started asking me questions about store hours, where she could find x, etc. I laughed it off (but helped her anyway once I told her I don’t work there) 🙂 Happens to me. I get many times mistaken for hotel service staff or a worker at stores, when wearing casual attire. I just ignore as I’m past that stage where I used to be apprehensive about my position in life. After reading the comments it doesn’t seem to be that uncommon, infact it happened to me a few times most recently I was in some store and the employees had red uniforms and I wore a red shirt that day some old lady asked me about something but before she could finish the employees came so I didn’t even have to do anything.
I have been mistaken for a helper before as well so now I just play it straight and help them with their grocery lists. And when they ask me something I don’t know I just look them straight in the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this eye and say “I don’t know, I don’t work here” See, I’ve never experienced the racism of any kind. But there is this shop of chai, where I go daily. When I’m waiting, some rando comes to me and say ginger dena. Not once or twice, shit happened more than I can count. It’s okay, when someone mistakes you for something else. We laugh it off. One day I was sitting in a small juice shop, and then there is this old couple came to me, said chikoo shake bro. I bet old man came to date her wife or something. Maybe a pleasent evening for them. It was 13th feb. I told, sure sir, I’ll pass your order to the manager 🙂 They were cute tho!
Also you can always work on your skin and physique. Not talking abt skin color but a clean looking glowing skin. I remember when I went to buy cake once and a lady came n said pointing at a cake ki ye kitne ka de rhe ho!? I was kinda disrespected at that time, but now I’m the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this most bakchod guy ever. I took over once a momos stall as the owner went to get some masalas and another girl told me to get her chewncy ke momos. I fkin love it! Went to a big railway station wearing a light blue shirt and formal pants. A guy chased me and screamed at me to go to some platform and that they want me there. He then later apologized and said that they have the same color uniform. Was opening a door in a pub to go out. Lady walks in and I was being courteous, held the door open and she goes “table for two…”. Made my day, she thought I was good looking enough to be a waiter!
This happened with me too…but at a mall. A middle aged woman asked me for a dress size.. and I was also shopping and just stared at her till she realized her mistake. Ruined my day but these things happen. Bhai itna mat soch. This one time the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this watchman to my own society refused to let me in because he thought I was a Swiggy delivery guy. I had to call my parents and ask them to verify my identity I’ve also been mistaken for a waiter multiple times. Galti ho jaati hai, just laugh it off and move on. This happened to me on my first day in the US, a French girl assumed I work at the hotel I was staying at. Yeah, pretty rough, but it’s what it is I guess, people make assumptions based on your race and color, just know that other people’s assumptions or your physical features don’t really define your worth. just because Dr Abdul Kalam was dark skinned or not handsome doesn’t mean he is worth shit. Please do not read much into it, a lot of people have asked to help or do some work at places where they don’t even work including me, latest was last month when a lady asked me in Westside sternly why don’t u folks make clothes in xyz fit very sternly. maybe at that moment they thought u r one of the room service fellow. Please remember in many cases people just utter words which they feel are right, it’s upto you not not give it importance, ur self esteem is in ur hands.
It’s prolly because the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this dude was drunk or high i have seen fair skinned good looking friends facing this too stop overthinking everything Remember people like that are wrong. Not you. Do not let them get to you. Their actions and assumptions talked about how they have been raised and who they are. Not about you. You were polite even though they acted like jackasses. I accidentally did this to someone but they were good looking and fair skinned. It has nothing to do with how you look. It’s just that they saw you there and they had beeen thinking of getting their room cleaned. i dont put effort in my clothing and looks so this has happened to me but i ignore it as i know it was a misunderstanding
Bro I am fair and handsome… lol jokes aside it has nothing to do with skin color or looks. despite being fair skinned I still got once or twice mistaken for salesman at shops where I was a customer. its just unconscious people who are just unaware of their surroundings and of the Danielle Hunter Jamaican-American professional football defensive end T-Shirt and I love this lives of others outside their own.. To hell with them and just focus on your well being and your peace of mind i dont put effort in my clothing and looks so this has happened to me but i ignore it as i know it was a misunderstanding i dont put effort in my clothing and looks so this has happened to me but i ignore it as i know it was a misunderstanding bullying on my skin color, my appearance, my caste, they way society has been treating me for my whole life, because of how I look.
