It’s just off that he wouldn’t be on your side here. If you want to salvage the marriage get therapy with husband and either cut contact completely or go low contact with MIL even if she apologises. If you have a child, never ever ever trust that woman with your baby. She cannot be trusted and wants a grandchild more than she wants to be a decent human being.
