Happened to me last year at phuket airport. Me and my fiance were shooken up for a few days, just take some time man. And try not to drink about it either… I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m also really disturbed and shocked by the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this amount of people in the comments who’ve witnessed something similar If I were in your shoes, I think I’d be looking to get back home and to your support systems as soon as I could. Maybe have a quick look at your travel insurance policy and see what requirements you might need to meet to get a reimbursement – you may need to get some kind of documentation from a doctor that this incident has impacted your health to a degree where you need to cut your holiday short. EMDR therapy really helps with trauma. The con is you have to relive the experience a bit playing it back in your mind while you work with the therapist. The pro is that it gives the memory far less power after only a few sessions
2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt: get your shirt now
I had the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this same thing happening to me when i lived in Macau. I was walking and all of a sudden a sound that sounded like a shooting or even a tire blowing up happened behind me. I lookes behind and for a second i thought it was a dummy doll. I remember thinking “why is that doll there and why didn’t i notice when i passed there 5 seconds ago”. My brain took a while to register that it was a person and that it had jumped. Had they jumped 5 seconds earlier it would have fall on me, but maybe they saw me and waited for me to clear their path. I looked closer but there was nothing to be done. The bones were out, the face had a huge crack and there was blood everywhere. I called 911, waited for the police to arrive. I didn’t have to make a statement. And went home. I guess i am a little more resilient than most, since the episode didn’t really affected me. I felt sorry for the person, who must have felt a huge despair to have jumped and i wondered if gambling debts led them to it.
This happened to me in 2012 at Victoria peak. I wa sat having coffee and heard this massive bang and it was this lady who jumped off. No one was phased and her body was covered but there for hours. I feel like it is a regular thing there. Carry on with your trip it’s happened now nothing you can do sadly. Suicide is very sad indeed This must be so traumatic and I think you really should share it with someone as soon as you can. There would be English speaking doctors in HK, or maybe psychologists. Check with your accommodation or even Google. I saw something similar while in Naples in 2016. A guy climbed an Egyptian obelisk in a square. Everyone was laughing at first when he got to the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this top of the base (maybe 3 meters up). The laughing stopped and went to genuine concern the higher he got up. Dude eventually jumped off. As soon as I saw him falling I got up and walked home. Shit still fucks me up. Take at least another day off. Clear your schedule. How much longer are you in HK for? Treat yourself, get some bubble tea, whatever your favorite food is out there.

This also happened to me while in madrid recently. Walked out of my hotel and someone jumped off the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this roof and hit about 10 feet behind me. The noise was extremely loud. I had something very similar happen to me, a guy jumped off a roof at a night club and landed right in front of me. I did the same thing, did first aid, to the same end game. I was with him for about an hour until he passed as paramedics tried to save him. Not going to lie, I still think about it, and it was over 10 years ago. For me it was a day or 2 later that it hit me the hardest and I kept reliving the sounds. Try and talk to someone, as other people have said talk to your insurance, or any family or friends. But I hate to say it will be hard, and depending on your personality. But it will get better, it might not feel that way. Talk to people, this will be hard, but try and do things, go visit places, meet randoms, I’m sure there will be a random back packers meet up group. Let your brain focus on it as it’s a big thing to process, but try and enjoy some other things too.
If you feel you want to go home, and ur do better there and you truly want to go home for a couple of weeks to be with friends and family that is always okay to. You can come back to your holiday, and exploring the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this world! It’s a big place, it isn’t going any where soon! I once witnessed a traumatic accident involving a semi-truck up close. I won’t go into details but it was super intense and graphic, and left me feeling terrified of driving on the freeway ever again. I really felt like I was done with driving forever. But on the other hand I also knew I didn’t want to live my life like that so I chose not to feed the fear and made myself drive the very next day. This may sound dumb but I feel like that decision probably saved me from years of therapy if I let my fear control my life even a little bit. If this were me, I would give myself 1 slow day to process then continue the trip.
You’ve gotten very good advice that I can’t expound on except you should be proud of trying to help and how you handled it The first day of my four week trip in Italy and Romania, I witnessed the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this body of a suicide. I was with an acquaintance who was giving me a tour of her city. We just got out of the car from driving from her village to the city, Bergamo. Built on a mountain with an old upper and modern lower city. We were in the upper city, on top of the old city walls, with a view on the lower city, and Milan in the distance. I walked up to the wall, she said “look at how high it is!” I look down, and there they are. Someone jumped from the city wall just now. The police were starting to arrive.
I went through with my trip and don’t regret it. I regret not talking about it a little more, not giving myself enough space to be shocked. I don’t regret going on, I regret not taking it into account and reacting to it more, not changing how I went on. I have visited her a few times since. She still feels bad and guilty about it years later. There are many ways of processing, and everyone has different methods. How do you usually process heavy things? What do you need in such moments? Can you find these things while traveling? It’s okay to cut your trip short, it’s okay to change your trip to give you more space to process, it’s okay to go through with your trip as planned. The best option is one where you can find ways to meet your needs. If your needs are social, can you get enough out of the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this possible contact with your loved ones from there? If you need alone time, can you isolate well enough? If you need distraction, you’ll probably find it. If you need comfort, are there ways you can reach it? If you can meet your needs while staying on the trip, I think it’d be valuable to give it a chance. If not, go home to your loved ones and find support. However you choose to continue, try to not ignore what happened.
You are what is called in medicine a secondary victim. It is traumatizing for health care personnel even more so for non health care. You should try and find a counselor (maybe on line). You want someone who specializes in trauma. My you find peace I’m so sorry. I have been on a structure when a person jumped and it’s something I will never, ever forget. Please get into therapy if it’s available to you. Witnessing this type of event messed me up for a while and I’ve had some residual ptsd responses. Hugs to you. Experiencing this is a critical part of your life’s journey. You have been shown how quickly it all ends, and how easily it becomes unbearable when we lose focus on what matters. We travel to experience new things. God has chosen to show you this outcome, because you are meant to gain wisdom that only experience can teach. A similar thing happened to me, and part of what tore at me was the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this feeling of impotence. Like I kept running the situation through trying to figure out what I could have done, or if I had just … even something fantastical and even though I knew I couldn’t have done anything. What helped me was ritualizing the death by doing a little ceremony for the person’s soul, like lighting a candle or floating flowers into the sea or going to a temple. Then 1. You’ve taken an action 2. You’re symbolically releasing. When your mind starts circling again, think back to the “resolution.”
Witnessing death like that is traumatizing, it happened to me when I had to give CPR to someone’s child and she didn’t make it. What helped me somewhat was reminding myself that the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this situation wasn’t my fault, and dwelling on what happened won’t change anything. Although it still hits me every once in a while and I get really sad. You witnessed this to shake you up. You witnessed this to grow. Take it easy on itself, you’re only human. How could you of known? Death is all around us but so is life. What a thing to see. Give yourself a big hug and take the time you need. You have a year after all. You don’t need to rush. Maybe an online therapist could be nice. How honorable of you to attempt CPR, especially in that condition. Would you of saved him if you could of? yeah. Did you have any control over the situation? No. Anywhere you are you will have to cope. I am sorry. I believe in you.
Clinical psychologist here this is so traumatic and I’m so sorry this happened. Take time to process, numb out, and heal. Call people from home. Hong Kong has a huge expat community so there surely must be English speaking therapists. You might try calling your country’s embassy for some resources or ideas. Oh my gosh I’m so sorry this happened to you. My wife and I witnessed a young boy drown to death in Costa Rica and it really shook me up. But what you went through is extremely traumatizing. I second the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this person who suggested trying to find a counselor, likely virtually. Keep checking in with loved ones and take care of yourself. The only people I know in the US who use WhatsApp, text internationally. I downloaded it out of curiosity but have basically never used it. I only use it to communicate internationally, I chat and video call with people from Europe and Africa who use it otherwise it’s regular text
I have WhatsApp for just a single group chat and yet I get added to some random cyptoscam chat once a week that I have to leave and report. I wonder why the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this OP chose WhatsApp specifically because there’s a ton of messaging apps out there to use for various reasons. They chose Whatsapp because a bunch of countries use it near exclusively. In many countries 90%+ of people that have a smartphone use primarily Whatsapp for communication. It wasn’t in the beginning. It became huge when the first generations of Smartphones were available, and once it had like a billion users, Facebook showed up and bought the company for 19 billion dollars. Once everyone you know uses an app for their day to day communications for everything, you don’t switch to another one. I don’t know where you’re from, but I’m pretty certain, if you lived here and everyone you know and meet, every single person in your life, even if they only make a short appearance, like the pizza delivery guy used WhatsApp to communicate, you would use it too. Because there’s no viable alternative as long as you can’t convince everyone you know, and everyone they know, and everyone they know, etc. to switch. That’s not gonna happen.
WhatsApp is super popular internationally. A lot of phone plans even give you free internet for WhatsApp use. So you could buy a 5 buck phone plan and get unlimited WhatsApp even if you get charged for text and phone, and only have like a gig of internet for other uses. I think probably like 99% of Latin America uses WhatsApp. I think it’s really popular in India too. It’s also big in Europe But every single person I’ve ever exchanged numbers with in Latin America I’ve always talked to them on WhatsApp. And it’s not even a question beforehand if they have it No wonder so many foreigners use it! Ah, I wonder if that’s why I had a visiting here from overseas customer who didn’t understand that you needed data or wifi to use WhatsApp, that you can’t just use WhatsApp. Hmm. I’ll have to keep that in mind.
And because WhatsApp uses the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this internet, isn’t it free international calling/texting? Cell phone providers here in America (or at least around here!) charge an arm and a leg for international calling to outside of the US, Canada and Mexico. And they often don’t provide (or it’s even more expensive) to pay for international calling to the US when you’re in Canada/Mexico let alone another country. It is, yes! I keep in touch with friends back in my country of origin either via whatsapp texting or whatsapp calls, and call my best friends for hours on end (I live in the UK, they live in Portugal and Texas). There’s no limit to the calls or texts as long as you have internet signal, and it’s all free.
I live in Europe and I have not send a text message in the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this last 15 years. If you do not have WhatsApp it’s the equivalent of not having a phone. From friends, to colleagues, to clients to my grandma. WhatsApp is the only app people use for everyday communication. There are things such as telegram, but I’d say about 10% of people actually use it WhatsApp allows you to change that setting so that only people in your contact list can add you to groups. You can even block people from your contact list from adding you to groups In the US and Canada, most mobile plans have long included unlimited text messaging, so there was no incentive to switch to apps like WhatsApp like there was in many other places. We use SMS because that’s what we’re used to. It’s free, it’s easy, it’s built into our phones already, and that’s good enough for most people.
Came to say the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this same thing. I have and use whatsapp some bc of international travel and friends. I get way more spam/scam via WhatsApp than my regular texts. Yep, I don’t use WhatsApp much but most of my notifications are from beautiful Asian or blonde women calling me from Nigeria and Burkina Faso. I wonder what they could want. I used to follow a sub where people mess with scammers, and one of the hallmarks of it being a scam is that the scammer tries to get you to switch to an app (usually Telegram). AtomicShrimp on YouTube baits scammers and has a pretty good series of 1 minutes scam awareness videos. Super fun channel. My ex had a plan when we were in high school and her mom tried convincing her to get unlimited texts, but she was like no way 200 free texts is more than enough for a month at a time. She ended up with like a 1000 dollar bill because of us going so vastly over her plan lols I think we’ve all experienced the unexpected $1,000 bill. My teen son was playing “free” games and we ended up with a bill like that from Apple. I made him call them and get it reduced. They ended up forgiving the whole thing. They forgive these gaming bills because they don’t want to be sued for targeting children whose parents won’t seek to have them forgiven. That and addicts. Yeah, more than 20 years ago in my country we had a plan which gave you 100 sms/day between the same carrier, a friend of mine didn’t understand why the carrier disabled it, the call centre told her that the previous day she used 200 sms and the second day 170.
It would be a good memento to remind us all of how to run a successful business into the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this ground faster than an airplane out of fuel. As can I. But those days are long, long gone now, at least in Canada. There are plenty of countries where most plans still charge for each SMS message sent. Apps like WhatsApp make solid sense there. This. My sister texted a bunch in high school and our bill came in a box because they had every text listed. At the time I remember thinking “how could you possibly text 30 times in one day!?!?” That seems so silly now but at .25 a message it was a 300$ bill for flip phones. This. The only reason I use WhatsApp is to communicate with family overseas. And now with Android having RCS there’s not many benefits to using a dedicated messaging service anymore over stock software.
Not that I’m one of those people who cares, and maybe this is pedantic, but iPhone users are actually using a messaging app like WhatsApp — it’s just Apple’s proprietary one, that can also send SMS texts if the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this recipient isn’t using iMessage. That’s what the blue/green bubbles mean. Green means an SMS message. You can text someone with an iPhone and choose to send it as an SMS, and the bubble will be green. Androids, afaik, don’t have their own messaging app, just SMS and whatever third-party apps you can download like WhatsApp, Signal, etc. So then what this really is is a conversation about Apple’s market share. A pretty sizable majority of phone users in the US and Canada have iPhones (edit: the figure I’m seeing is ~60%, which is at least a 20% gap. That is in fact sizable). That is not true anywhere else in the world. So it’s not that we’re using SMS instead of a messaging app like the rest of the world does. We’re just using a different one.
Edit: I was wrong about some finer technical points about Androids, see the 2025 Tim Heidecker Slipping Away Tour Midwest Poster shirt in other words I will buy this replies for the correct details. The broad point though that barely any of us actually use pure SMS is true. A lot of androids now have RCS between other androids. They say that it more closely matches iMessage and WhatsApp. RCS has been standard for years with Android. Iphone still converts to SMS when going to an android. Thats why you see degredation of video quality between the two. But soon Apple will be updating RCS so file quality between the two will be better and the bubbles changing color will likepy stop. They anniunced it in November 2023 (or right around then) yeah all OP said is basically “why doesn’t everyone in the world do exactly this narrowly proprietary thing that i’ve inexplicably trained myself to do without question?”
